Hi Guys,
I have this problem last weekends. In short, it was Asiana Airlines fault, causes my friends to missed their flight, but Asiana Airlines do not admit, and refused the compensate. Customer support refuse to answer our questions as well.
-------- Details below ----------
We book our flights on 16th Dec from PNH to ICN. The tickets clearly shows that the departure time was 1:05am.
When we arrived at the check-in counter around 11:50pm, we were informed that the departure time is 12:30am and we were too late for check-in. And denied boarding.
They also mentioned that the flight schedule had been changed 2 months ago.
But the problem is
- our tickets still show the boarding time is 1:05am
- no body inform us about the change of flight schedule
- We actually booked our ticket on the 13th Dec, 3 days before departure
- flightradar24 shows that the PLANNED departure time is 12:30am, BUT only on the 16th the PLANNED departure time is 1:05am. This clearly shows that someone at Asiana forgot to update the departure time on the 16th
- flightradar24 further confirmed that the ACTUAL departure time in the 16th was 1:07am.
- PNH airport (and many other airports in the world) check-in closing time is 50min before departure. So we arrive at counter around 11:50am should be absolutely fine.
Their customer support says that we should arrive airport 3 hours before departure. So it is our fault (while PNH check-in counter only open 2 hours prior to departure)
Their station manager at PNH says that it is China Air Control problem, PNH Air Port counter problem, and our fault for arriving late. But refuse to admit their own error.
----------------------
Our total losses is > 2K USD.
May I know what can we do in Cambodia to fight for consumer's right?
p.s. I have all the evidences and emails captured, but I don't know how to post images in this forum.
Seriously need help. Asiana Airlines
Airlines are not charities .
I went thought something similar with Cebu Pacific.
You will have two chances.
None and bucklies.

Did you ask Asiana to put you on the flight the next day? What did they tel you? Did you explain that you just booked the ticket a few days before and it showed a 1:05 a.m. departure time?CKKwan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:06 am

If they didn't put you on the next flight, ask Asiana for a refund. Did you pay with a credit card? Try to do a merchant dispute/chargeback with the credit card company.
Showing up for an international flight 75 minutes before the time you thought it was scheduled for is not smart. Especially if you have checked bags.
If you don't have checked bags, always print the boarding pass at home when possible so you can skip the check in desk and won't be affected by check in deadlines.

Yes we did asked, but they insisted that we had to pay again. And we have no choice buy to pay again and fly on the 17th.gavinmac wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 10:23 am

I have been flying in and out of Phnom Penh more than 20 times a year without any problem. Except this one.
Phnom Penh air port doesn't allow self printed boarding pass.
I will try to call credit card company and ask.
A bit silly to show up that late with a budget airline.
Only time I would do that is with someone like Bangkok Airways, where I know that they will just put me on the next flight and I can relax over a meal and a few drinkies while waiting.

Asiana isn't a budget airline. They're a Star Alliance carrier.

Read the fare rules for the airline. I think even if you are a no show (which is what they are claiming essentially) you may be eligible for a refund minus a fee such as 200-300 bucks.
