How did she supposedly leave home? In a tuk tuk? Was it with a known tuk tuk driver or did she just flag down a random tuk tuk? Is it common for Western parents to let their timid, learning-disabled 13 year old daughters take random tuk tuks around town?Channee was last seen leaving her home premises in Phnom Penh at about 8:30am on the 4th of February, 2020.

These videos are kind of weird. Are the parents are the last people to see the girl alive? Was she seen later in Battambang and Siem Reap or Thailand as suggested?

A 13 year old Cambodian riding a tuktuk would take a PassApp or Grab I guess. I can't imagine that it's common nowadays to hail randomly one off the street.
What is the driver's story? In year 2020 it's hard to imagine non-traceable drivers. Everybody is on those apps now. Unless they use a regular driver so what's his story?
Why doesn't the father know what year she was adopted? I'm sorry but there's a big difference between 5 or 7. That's like forgetting the child's birthday!!

This post leads me to believe, again, that she ran away. "Erase any negative programming she's getting" sounds like there's someone else there in the equation, that Channee has turned to.
He says "she wants to come home" but then the rest of the post doesn't read like that.
Glad she's ok.

The last part under ***Please share*** is inconsistent with the rest of the message. I had just assumed that he had copied and pasted from other posts and forgot to remove irrelevant parts.Miguelito wrote:This post leads me to believe, again, that she ran away. A young teenager doesn't smuggle herself across a border, so I think it's fairly clear she has had some help from somewhere.
You don't need to smuggle yourself.
Just 100 bath at the border and you can pass. Its super common.

No need to smuggle. Given she is 13yrs old, she probably does have an ID card, and for ASEAN country people, that's enough to pass the border. IIRC, for max 14 days.
Given she was smart enough to A) run away without anybody getting a knowledge of that and B) ending up in Thailand, she seems to be much smarter than her guardian told the world. Let me turn this around: To let a teenager run away, take care to constantly emphasize her "things", etc, and she will not feel at home. Just one "matching" Facebook contact will be enough to let her decide what she did.
One of my younger kids would certainly fit the description "Learning disability" and "not being able to deal with numbers" (both to the extreme), though she is certainly clever enough to find her way around the town (despite being only 8 yrs old) as well as being smart enough to find out, if the cashier receipt does contain a note about a free drink and old enough to (properly) choose her own new shoes (I only have to bring the money, maybe being just the driver would be enough ). She adores me and likes it, I regularly compliment her with the things she does do good, which in turn motivates her for school as well as learning to come to proper decisions.

@V12 ... Cambodian National ID Cards are not (supposed to be) issued to people under 16 years of age.
And National ID Card does not allow freedom of movement within ASEAN, passport is required.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Are you sure? I thought the "Laissez faire" pass was available for Cambodians into Laos, Thailand & Vietnam? Certainly took a bunch of Khmers into Laos without passports about 12 years back. Has that changed?
(I concede the point on age requirement for the ID)

Laissez Faire is still available without a passport, but must be applied for, and only allows the person a limited timeframe and distance permitted to travel from the border. It certainly doesn't allow for 14 days and complete freedom of movement.
