Did the prime minister ban all mention of the Corona virus on social media?
Did the prime minister ban all mention of the Corona virus on social media? My wife's former classmate from the Chinese school was a translator and a tour guide for Chinese tourists. He died suddenly the other day and his friends and former classmates on Facebook are avoiding all mention of the virus while private messaging one another that his mother says it was Corona virus. I asked my wife why this is so and she said it's because they don't want the punishment that's been promised to journalists and social media commentators by Hun Sen.
Is this ban just a rumor, or not? ?

Is his mum a doctor?
As if HE going to get his minions to note every comment from it’s people and go an arrest them! You’re as gullible as them.

Yes he banned “fake news” about Coronavirus at his speech given to AEU graduates a couple days ago.

I just looked at the PPP, and there is an article where the PM admonishes people writing fake COVID- 19 news that ' attacks the ministry'. I would need more evidence than what someone's bereaved mum says.
"Bun Heng requested that journalists help disseminate correct information about the virus and address fake news that was aimed at attacking the ministry.
He also said Cambodia had no reason to conceal cases or information surrounding Covid-19 from the public, as some Facebook users had alleged.
“The IPC has operated with transparency, as does our health system. We have made efforts to do whatever we can to provide relevant information regarding the coronavirus.
“We have no reason to hide it. If a person gets sick, we care for them and treat him or her. We don’t have a reason to hide such matters.
“Hiding the truth from people is not useful because people need to know how to prevent themselves from getting the disease, identify symptoms they may have and seek treatment should they need it,” he said.
Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday appealed to the people to take part in the fight against fake news and to take preventive measures against the coronavirus by ensuring personal hygiene.

NGO's have been trying to get Cambodians to wash their hands with soap for decades, but a lot of restaurant toilets still don't have soap in them.

Rumors are not to be tolerated, since this thing started I've heard them.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
HE should just ban the corona virus from entering the country.
Then everybody will be safe.
Then everybody will be safe.

Yeah, I'd have to agree that it is one of the filthiest countries I've ever lived. And I've lived in a few. For me, it's a toss-up between India and Cambodia.Bart Dambang wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 3:51 pmmost dirty country i ever visting an they get 1 infection case only

One would think that it would have slightly more cases what with all the through traffic from China added to the garbage etc. Perhaps, as fapsara says, it's been banned from entering the country. Just let's hope they don't catch it and put it in prison.

I'm presuming it's the fish market in Wuhan, but could easily be a lot of the markets in Cambodia.

That's worse than I ever saw Psah Kandal or Psah Cha before they put some paving in. Psah Damkor where you can but good fruits and avocados is grimy as hell. Not much different than that but less garbage around the stalls. Don't walk around there in your best clothes!kungfufighter wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 5:53 pm

Hey shitbeard, it turns out that he really did make veiled threats and lots of folks really did take it to heart and started self-censoring their social media posts. I never said he was actually going to start hunting down anyone who dares mention the virus, you drunken, brainless geriatric.
Now go fuck yourself, smart guy. Stopping by this hen's knitting party to rubberneck at the wreckage every couple of years has been one time too many for me.
