Don't carry your passport !Miguelito wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 2:17 pmI've wondered about this. I certainly don't carry my passport with me, and would be surprised if most expats did. If I were to get arrested, would they bring me to my house first to get my passport (locked in the safe), or how does that work?Alexandra wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:24 pm
One thing that sticks out to me is that there’s no copy of his passport in the press. That usually comes early, unless the perp is unable to produce his passport because he doesn’t have one or if he doesn’t have a valid visa and he doesn’t want to be caught.
Go to a copy shop and have your main page w/picture and your current visa photocopied then laminated back to back in plastic only costs ~$1. I have had it accepted by everyone, post office, police, etc except the embassy.

They don't play nice. That's why every time there's an arrest everybody fesses up, snitches on their friends and explain the crime they've been caught for in great detail. It's healthier than the alternative.
I am in touch with Wendy, the wife that was looking for Mark in 2017.
Mark is a 57 year old construction worker, not a war hero in his 40s.

If you don't get arrested with your passport you get to keep your passport....Miguelito wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 2:17 pmI've wondered about this. Who actually knows the full story, no one on this forum that's for sure.
Let The Rumour Mill continue!
He may have friends in high places, but just because he does, doesn't mean that he will ask them for help. He might be too embarrassed to get them involved.

Absolutely fucking absurd. Comic idiocy.Alexandra wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:56 pmI’m finding it extremely unlikely that a British military colonel named Glenn Whitfield stationed at an army base is reading Khmer440 and worrying about his friend Mark Aspinall who has been setup in Cambodia with a gun in a dispute over the payment of a bar bill. I sent them working login credentials so that they could post on the forum despite being flagged as a spammer.
There are hundreds of posts OTOF written by Mishmash containing the exact phrases “the boys” and “the base”.

Drunk cop drops gun while showing off. Foreigner gives him a hard time about it. Khmer 'journalists' turn up.
Up the workers!

Why is a construction manager teaching English to hand picked ( by Manet ) security personnel ?
Why is he sending comical emails or messages from a non existent British Army officer?
Walter Mitty or just plain barking?
k440, something to do when you're pissed.

Mishmash/Aspinall calls himself "the Mish" on TOF and Colonel Whitfield calls him "The Asp"?Petrol Head wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 5:47 pmAbsolutely fucking absurd. Seriously. This ‘Col. Whitfield’ must have come from the Anthony Scaramucci school of public relations.
Totally unacceptable wet-brained ‘tardery.
