this pic shows trump with a relaxed hand in the pocket.
the actual video shows that dauvins' forearm muscles are bulging showing that he was applying downward pressure on his thigh with the strength from his arm, shoulder, chest and neck.
if the hand was on the outside of the trouser leg, it would be more apparent of what he was really doing but the hand in the pocket is disuguising it.
Except his hand is not in his pocket. He's wearing a glove.

As with all modern experiences, the problem with assessing these riots is that people feel the need to congregate and gather around one position - it’s good, or it’s bad.
The truth is a lot more complex and there are numerous shades of gray. What seems to have been genuine protests done by decent people acting peacefully were always going to be taken over by both the far left, the far right and opportunistic looters who have no stake in the game. The same happens in every uprising. I remember the same happening during the Poll tax riots in the 1980s.
The reality of these will only be deciphered with the hindsight of history - the events will be interesting but ultimately just sideshows to the important issue: their long term effect.
I think the most important factor will be the impact of Trump’s reaction. Love him or hate him, his role is to at least attempt to unite the country. He is failing in that and I sense that was his great test. When the generals start coming out against him, you know he’s a busted flush.
Scobienz, as usual, seems to be the voice of reason here. When the military starts to come out against you, it's pretty much game over.
Felgerkarb, I just want to say that I have a great deal of respect and appreciation for your service to this country. While I disagree with you generally about much of what you've posted here with regards to the response to the peaceful protesters being cleared out for a goddamn photo op, I think you are being unfairly painted with a very broad brush by some people here and some of the attacks on you just seem a bit bizarre. Sorry for that, and hope you are able to catch up on your rest soon sir.
There is undeniably a knee jerk anti-military sentiment on that part of a lot of people on the left that I think is uninformed and short-sighted. I think the response on the part of many military leaders and former military leaders show that these people are not the unthinking jack-booted thugs that many people want to make them out to be.
