Anyone else seeing loads of ads on Facebook etc for beer?
They don't seem to be selling anything special. Nothing that you can't pick up in the supermarket. And the prices are sometimes quite outrageous.
What's their selling point?
I'm all for people making a buck, but this seems a bit odd to me.

Easy delivery?
I wondered that. But then I thought what's easy about having to wait in for half the day for some doofus to deliver to you, who will almost certainly get lost and not have any change with him?

takes less than half an hour for brewmaster to deliver a case of beer right to my doorstep. it works just as easy as any food delivery. happy to pay the extra dollar or two for that delivery.
Haven't seen any...but now that I've clicked on this post I'm sure I will
Do they deliver cold beer though?
Takes me 30 seconds to walk to my nearest mom-n-pop beer seller, and they always have cases in the chiller so that's a bonus. They do tell me to just ring them and they will deliver, which we do when purchasing several cases and ice, but would never consider asking them to deliver just 1 or 2 cases.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

You're right, but I suspect they're trying to appeal to those who aren't familiar with the country and don't want to go hunting for beer. Are there enough of these people? I'd say there aren't, especially now that COVID has stopped the flow of incoming transients, but I guess time will tell.slavedog wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 11:07 amI wondered that. nope. they do not. which is a downside and why you gotta order when you still have some cold ones in the fridge.PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 1:47 pmDo they deliver cold beer though?

They don't appear to be targeting clueless foreigners - the advert text is primarily in Khmer.Starving Pelican wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 1:56 pmYou're right, but I suspect they're trying to appeal to those who aren't familiar with the country and don't want to go hunting for beer. I could understand if they were offering specialty beers. But it's mostly cans of ABC, Singa etc, albeit they do seem to have a selection of can sizes, not just 330ml.
For me, I don't see how delivery could be easier than sticking 2 or 3 cases in my trolley when I visit Makro once a month.
Anyway, good luck to them!
