Are Cambodians "quitters"?
i am a quitter, have started to pull my money out of cambodian banks since the embassy refuses to issue retirement visas
How can you be a quitter when you're asking the same person 20 times if he/she needs a tuktuk and eventually end up offering other kind of services such as (but not limited to) massage, lady boomboom, weed, coke.....

Yeah I get that too. Most if my staff will work extra time without being asked just to finished a job. I think it may be down to the eastern concept of time not being as valuable as it is to a westerner. IMO A westerner on a relatively low paid role is more likely to work the clock, and pick up the job again tomorrow.slavedog wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:35 amI can think of quite a few occasions where our staff have gone way over and above to finish orders on a deadline, sometimes staying up throughout the night in order to complete work on time.
I now find things work better when I stay out of the way. Certainly less stressful for all of us.
But separately I’ve had quite too many staff quit on a whim with a fabricated reason for leaving, and not being willing to work a notice period.
When they are with you and motivated, and staff relationships are good. thenwill run through walls for you, but once they become disenfranchised then you better start looking for their replacement.
