^^ us dumb fucks who said bollox n nonsense were replying to your 1.5 - 2l or water in few hours and you will die statement. Slowly but surely you have upped the amount as you knew you were wrong.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
Nop, read again. You'll see, that I seriously "advise" the "dumb fucks" (overstating needed) against 3 liters water in 1 - 1.5 hours, whereas the seriously at a large scale deadly amount starts at 4-5 liter. The problem is, there aren't that many "facts" (medical investigations towards a minimum lethal dosis) , only deadly incidents. And the incidents often show around the 3 liters as a deadly quantity. The medical world strongly advises against the 3 liter and more in a short period. Just deadly.
As such, back to the original advice to limit -under normal circumstances, so no dehydrated situation- the amount of water to 1 - 1.5 liters in 1 - 2 hours. That's safe for practically everybody.
However, feel free to drink your 5 liters water in a short time. That would solve your return to Cambodia problem to ....

Those are your words!v12 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 7:25 am[quote=orde post_id=1015361 time=1598628975 As well Though limit this to max 1-1.5 liters. And, no, that's not from Google, it is my expertise area.
Don't drink more than 2 liters water in just a few hours, because it does discard that much body minerals, you'll die. Larger amounts of water are highly poisonous for the body.

Ehhh, yes, let me repeat. Stay on the safe side and do not drink more than 1.5 - 2 liters in a few hours. Drink more (think about 3+ liters) and you get a real chance to die, drink 6 liters and you have a 50% chance to die. Be my guest to give this a try, though don't complain, I did not warn you.horace wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 12:40 amThose are your words!v12 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 7:25 am[quote=orde post_id=1015361 time=1598628975 As well Though limit this to max 1-1.5 liters. So how does this work with other liquids, ones that are still mostly water ?
I have on occasion drank 1.5L-2L of beer, or more, in the space of a couple of hours, and beer is around 95% water ?!?!
3L of beer would just be 9 standard glasses or cans of the local beer, at 5% ABV that leave 95% for water and few flavourings ...

Not possible playboy, if you drank a few pints within a couple of hours, you'd be dead apparently.
How about those people who down a yard of ale in 2.5 seconds or something?
I think the former Australian prime minister, Bob Hawke, still holds the world record.

My scouser mate, Tommy the brickie, drank 14 pints in 12 hours and still wouldn't shut up.Playboy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 10:25 amSo how does this work with other liquids, ones that are still mostly water ?

And pretty sure Aust. cricketer Rod Marsh sculled 52 cans on a plane from Sydney to London; animal.

Easy, Peasy, with beer, you do not get pure water, though liquid with minerals/flavors, which overcomes the poisonous issue of the pure water, IE the dilution of the blood and subsequent deadly osmosis into the (brain/body) tissue.Playboy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 10:25 amSo how does this work with other liquids, ones that are still mostly water ?

Other alcoholic drinks tend to be that much Alcohol, you pass out, before you get too much water in your blood to be harmful.

It’s quite a warm August bank holiday here in Yorkshire. I’ve just drank four litres of water. In case this is my last post, I wish you all well and hope to see you on the other side insha’allah.

I'm not sure on Marsh but I'm pretty sure David Boon held the Oz-UK in flight consumption record for quite a while.
Not sure in which Yorkshire you are, though in Europe above 50 degrees Latitude, it's freaking cold and the UK isn't any better.
However, if your genius body gets sweating that much, it first loses 3 liters liquid and you resupply with 4 liters water, we'll see you again tomorrow, with another excuse why a water overdoses is presumed to be not poisonous.
Good luck
And let me add one more controversial: Those freaks drinking "Glacier" water or other melted ice-age water deposits, assuming it's "healthy", it's not, due to the absence of minerals.
