Is this possible

Hi all,

I’m a Canadian senior in Thailand and am having problems getting my Thai OA visa converted to a marriage visa.

Is it possible for me alone to go from Bangkok by air to Phnom Penh? If so, what are my requirements to stay there until Thailand will let me in again?

Cheers

IF you can manage to obtain an E-type (Ordinary) Visa, there are also charter flights being organised direct from BKK - PNH.

Thank you very much guys. I think that the current visa requirements exclude me. Luckily, the Thai Immigration honcho came back, must have had a cup of human kindness (me, I had a Valium), said go to office Nov 11 and everything should be okay.

I thought of Cambodia as a fall back because I’ve come 2 times a year, for 6 weeks, over and over, going to lots of places. I really like it. My Thai wife and I will be back for Christmas/New Year’s and again, to miss Songkran, virus permitting.

Cheers

Why change??
use ThaIvisa agent ( Grace) Grace <[email protected]>

forget about flying to Cambodia as even if you get in ( chances are very slim) you wont get back into Thailand

I didn’t want to pay for unwanted mandatory out patient coverage added to my existing health insurance policy, maybe 60,000 baht more. For a Canadian, that’s a lot smoked meat, poutine and Montreal bagels.

afaik; everyone on an initial O-A visa ( you got this one at home, correct?)
always will have to have the insurance while those of us on O or B initial visas do not need it
and never heard of anyone successfully changing a O-A to an O in country.

Good luck if they can do it for ya
