Do you think my new credit card will show up?
Do you think my new credit card will show up?
After I lost a UK credit card some time ago I asked that my replacement be sent to me in Cambodia. Now I have lost other cards before whilst overseas and the bank couriered a replacement to me in days via DHL or Fedex. Now in the case of Barclaycard it sounds like they just put a stamp on it and sent it regular snail mail, not even any tracking.
Anyway it's been slightly over 2 months now. It's not coming is it?

It will arrive eventually and you'll be blocked from using it because the credit card company will have flagged it as lost/never activated.

I have found it quicker to have them sent to a UK address and then FedEx them across.orde wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:40 amAfter I lost a UK credit card some time ago I asked that my replacement be sent to me in Cambodia. Hear and hear, but do not understand; see and see, but do not perceive.
For they do not know what they hear, see, say, or do, and yet they do not concede that they are blind and deaf.

My bank in Europe sent it to here without informing me. Went to the post office 3 months after and they could not find it but would resume searching. Next day it was found and delivered to my house.
Before you go there make sure you have your address in PP with you as they sort and search by district. Also leave your phone# and bring along somebody who can speak Khmer if possible.

Incoming international mail is suspended so no you will not receive it anytime soon.
Ordinary incoming international mail is still suspended. Couriers like DHL are getting through.Nisse wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 2:46 amIs this a fact? I have not read about it anywhere else.
I know it was suspended spring/summer but afaik it oped up at the end of summer.

Yesterday at PO I picked up a parcel sent my regular mail from uk 3 weeks ago.
I have received several other pieces of mail from uk over past few months.
Not sure i'd be brave enough to risk a bank card though

Beware, my bank fucked up and did just that. It arrived alright. I realized it last week when I saw 1000$ went missing from my account....
Ordinary incoming mail is most certainly not suspended, I've received a bunch over the past few months.
Most courier companies will only accept credit cards for shipment directly from the issuer, otherwise they risk being blamed for fraud

But this is a common narrative, I have heard other people say that they have been told this also. It must be coming from somewhere.LeMule wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:03 amOrdinary incoming mail is most certainly not suspended, I've received a bunch over the past few months.
Alexandra where did you get your info?
From Facebook groups. EMS is supposedly getting through.
