Facebook admin, the Nigerians may be looking for you
Facebook admin, the Nigerians may be looking for you
So yesterday I had the pleasure of being asked by an angry Nigerian if I knew the whereabouts of a FB group admin. The Nigerian had made a deposit to buy some FB group but it was sold to somebody else and the admin kept the Nigerians money. the group is called local expats in PP or something like that. The Admin should sort this out...cheers
I'm more intrigued why someone would want to buy a Phnom Penh centric facebook group and what was the price charged?. If it's the bigger one it had maybe 20k members but I'd hazard only 30% lived there. To get more than a case of beer for it shows excellent scamming skills on behalf of the salesman.
This has been circling the city for a few days now...
Word on the street is that the tubby slobber-lipped writer of mediocre trash fiction Steve Palmer (AKA Iain via various accounts) has sold his Facebook Page "Expats and Locals Living in Phnom Penh" to the owner of Nahm24 while sneakily taking a sizeable deposit from a 3rd party..
True to fashion once money was transferred Iain blocked all communications..
Iain has a chequered past when it comes to finance and was forced to leave Kampot after fleecing numerous bar and business owners during his stolen tenure at a respected magazine down there.
He would do well to keep his oversized head down and floppy lips sealed.

He took a $500 deposit from the.3rd party.
The 3rd party may or may not be Nigerian.

Didn't he owe, among others,, slavedog a sum of dollars? It would sure be a wonderful tale of 2020 if the openly racist slavedog joined forces with the nigerian to claim his bounty a d lose his prejudices. A true tale of redemption i, hope Palmer doesn't steal that story line
That's an impressive amount to get for something he didn't found or own. I hope hes held onto the multiple scammer sites he runs to mod posts that may pop up about himNot Steve Palmer wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:56 pmWord is it was $3kRemmacs wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:48 pmI'm more intrigued why someone would want to buy a Phnom Penh centric facebook group and what was the price charged?. It must have been hard for him to let go of the page and relinquish power
I thought khmer440 bought that group?
pew, pew, pew, pew!
We have a different group with 23% more members and free from this type of drama.
I believe he fled to Siam Reap.
He better be careful or they may give him a second fat lip

No. He’s back in Phnom Penh, in one of the shittier outer suburbs.
I remember that dude. Back when I had facebook, years ago now he made a very innapropriate comment about a pic of my 5yo daughter. Claimed he was drunk and didn't know what he was saying. Fucking sicko.
"Goodness me! Now STD free..."
It seems there is form here, or at least similar accusations. Read the whole thread - there are two distinct incidents, but similar in nature.
To be falsely accused once is unfortunate. To be falsely accused three times in a couple of years just seems to be something more worth paying attention to.

The Nigerians are the ones getting scammed? Next, we need to sell some fake IT service to an Indian.

Unrelated, I love scam baiters. This guy is fantastic, he pretends to be an old lady and plays along with the scammer. He will pretend to be confused "Let me turn off my computer" "Let me redeem these Target cards and buy you a present off Amazon" and the scammers get enraged. He keeps them going for many hours, here is a condensed version
