Is the stuff in pics donates or did they have to pay for it? There is this article about mobile markets in red zones however that seems useless for those without income and savings. Some friends live in the proximity and must feel worried. I personally would most likely try to move to a different PP area...

"He said the ministry had also instructed the Green Trade Company (GTC) to work quickly"
"The goods on sale today are lower than the market price. These include milled rice, noodles, pure drinking water, canned fish, as well as fish and soy sauce."
Doesn't sound very green to me. They're basically selling disaster-relief rations.

It's not complete. Chom Chao 1 is restricted red zone. But isn't showing up as red on the map.
Edit: It is not the whole of Chom Chao 1 which has been declared a Red Zone, unless their has been a recent change. The map clearly shows Phum Tuol Pongro, Sangkat Chaom Chao 1 as a Red Zone.

Perfect, some tinned fish with a side of propagandaAlexandra wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:00 pmThey're donations from the government.
The food distribution is quickly becoming a massive clusterfuck. In Steung Meanchey people had to wait in the rain and listen to a long speech by the district governor before finally getting their food. No social distancing.

Where did you see it was only Phum Tuol Pongro?
Edit. I've checked the English news (KT and PPP) and they both say Chaom Chao 1, not mentioning Phum Tuol Pongro...
I have friends living in the area and they certainly believe that they are in a Red zone and are reporting all shops are closed.
The initial announcement released by PP City Hall only referred to the Tuol Pongro Village as been declared a Red Zone, haven't checked any updates lately as it doesn't affect me, so could be the whole Sangkat now. Shit's gonna be constantly evolving, so you gotta give the creators of these maps a break, not an easy task trying to keep up with everything.

I'm not upset about it. And not criticizing either. Just pointing out that it wasn't complete.PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:40 pmThe initial announcement released by PP City Hall only referred to the Tuol Pongro Village as been declared a Red Zone, haven't checked any updates lately as it doesn't affect me, so could be the whole Sangkat now. Maybe I missed the initial announcement, but I saw the info last night about Chaom Chao 1 - it caught my eye cause I have friends there. Even looking today I can't see any new news released in last 24 hours about new red zones.
Last night I saw Alexandra (I think) shared a map and commented that red zone stretched almost all around the airport. That is Chaom Chao 1.
Now maps have changed and I can't see any news releases to support this.

Somehow, the government does not seem to understand the waterbed effect. Close markets and people go to other markets, until all are closed.
Is the military being jabbed with AZ or some China flavor ? Messages about military people becoming Covid-19 infected, despite, etc.
And, we see an alarming rate of "Clinics" being warned for, due to Covid-19 patients having visited the clinic. Hmmm, that was requested by the government: If you feel sick, immediately go to the nearest hospital/clinic.
It does not look good and logic implies, the death rate will go up significantly. People die roughly 2-4 weeks after being infected. So, the current death rate reflects the infections from 3 weeks ago. With a death ratio of 2%, we can expect to reach 10-20 a day, in 1-2 weeks. I am also worried about the amount of unknown infected. A death ratio of 2% and 2-4 deaths a day, does match with the official infection rate 3 weeks ago.
Stay inside, keep distance, wear masks, clean hands.

In the newspapers and others news, they said there are donation from HS and wife and no word "government".
This is also probably a golden opportunity for various dissidents and opposition aligned factions to obfuscate, cultivate and manufacture some anti govt feelings with an eye to the future
None of the vaccines prevent you from either contracting OR spreading COVID19 to others, they protect you from the life threatening stages of the virus if you're susceptible; that part seems solid with a 100% survival rate so far of vaccinated persons for the big vaccines (AZ, Pfizer, etc). So the 0.2% of people who would likely die if they contracted it, will no longer die if they are vaccinated.
