Back in 1968, Paul Ehlrich published a book called "The Population Bomb" in which he predicted that overpopulation would basically result in the end of the world...

Well, I don't know about that... But it is interesting to think about the statistics quoted in your "plague" population diagram... Particularly, how many people the
Black Death took out and HOW LONG it took to rebuild the population of Europe after losing every 2nd person -- 200 years!
Well now, Ehlrich claimed (or claims) that the ideal population of Earth is not 7.8 billions, but something between 2 and 3 billions...
Hmmmm... If that number is even remotely accurate and possibly true, then maybe nature has a plan to take care of us after all...

Who knows?
Jim Morrison didn't agree with "The Population Bomb," which was a big hit around the same time he was, too. ...I was listening to a collection of Door's live concerts... In 1970, in Boston, on a rather off-night for his vocals, he piped up and said, more or less, "Worried about the population? There's plenty of room for all of us... Go out and populate..." He also said that he thinks, "Astrology is a bunch of bullssshh..t," -- so he must have encountered too many hippy-dippy bj babes asking him, "Hey, what's your star-sign, man?"
Lol... Better weld our doors shut...
