As previous poster Green Martian observes: a seeming contradiction between incautious behavior (resulting from being cooped up, and consequent inevitable government relaxation) and the growing numbers of cases -- which reminds me of the cluster-eff scenarios of the U.S. and Europe.
Anyway, notice today and yesterday: the
Khmer Times commenting on
the sudden change in numbers coming from the government MoH... there must be higher ups telling the MoH to paint a vaguer or rosier picture. The names of new patients are not on the last two lists, which will stop any effort at contact tracing...
A little more government backbone would be more effective. But not according to the human rights observers, lol... I guess that it is easy to say things should open up if one has been trapped in a red zone...
But I think... looks like Covid in Cambodia will snowball like poor Myanmar and other places, like the zzzzz-Philippines, etc...
What do you think, does this article reveal the effect of a deliberate effort to tone down the bad numbers? A government response to people's trapped feelings? Or..?
