hi all,

my name is Stefan Struik. I have been discussed a lot on this forum back in 2017 because of my (passed away) ex-boyfriend and his Vietnamese cousin who tortured a boy close to our cacao farm. There were a lot of assumptions made about me. Most of them were just painfully wrong but I can't blame anyone because the information was very scarce. I had to stay low for several years because of a dual nationality issue which is now solved. I will answer all questions (that is if you have any still after all those years). I am just appearing here on this forum to let you know I have nothing to hide and to warn you that it is too easy just to make assumptions based on thin air.

It wasn’t from thin air. A young boy was tortured and sexually abused on your farm and when it came to your attention, you helped the perp, your boyfriend, flee justice by running to Vietnam.

How did your boyfriend die and when?

I'd rather not revisit this extremely unpleasant story. I have to say though your pain is much less significant to me than the physical pain suffered by the poor child.

Rather than (bizarrely IMO) waiting for questions to clear up any errors. How about you just make a statement here laying out the inaccuracies. That way we can hopefully avoid repeating some of this awful story.

Stefan has written a book about his experiences. It’s called Prison Passport.

I guess his reappearance is to help sell copies.

https://stefanstruik.com/about/

His personal statement on the site:

I always felt lucky. In my private life, in my businesses.

But at the end of 2016, I ran out of luck. I lost my love, I lost my freedom, I lost my citizenship, I even lost my name and identity, within the period of a few months. I never committed a crime, I never harmed anybody, but life had knocked me down with a tremendous force.

It all started with falling in love with the wrong person. The relationship with this person, a Vietnamese also got me involved with his bizarre family members. It ended when sadistic family behavior almost destroyed all my businesses, brought me into a very remote and primitive Cambodian prison for 8 months, and caused me to lose my Dutch nationality as well as my name and identity.

Up to this day, not only me but also others, like a young boy who got tortured by my ex-boyfriend and his family, are still struggling with the impact of these connections. But mostly it made me realise how fragile the protection for a citizen is by his home country, and how easily a country can declare a former citizen an outcast. Still, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I am building up a new life now, in the meantime writing about my experiences. I will launch a book about this insane dark period at the end of 2020.

Life is dark and bright at the same time. Life gives us a chance to set a course and discover new dimensions. I love this chance on exploration so I can change and improve life; for myself but also for as many other people as possible.

Thank you Scobie for your research on this person.

I always get suspicious when something that occurred several years ago gets put under the spotlight by the accused and is brought back into public scrutiny.

Well in fairness Scoffer, the fact he is reintroducing the subject suggests he is keen to get his side of the story over.

I see nothing wrong with that in principle. His version of the story adds another dimension to our total understanding of what happened.

It’s the first Kindle book that I’ve seen that’s not compatible with Kindle devices. :-?

Even the table of contents is written in a weird way with each chapter listed twice by chapter number and chapter name separately.

The whole point I am opening the discussion here because this platform made many assumptions and unfortunately wrong ones.
The fact that the whole thing became highly political, made it a sensitive issue on judge level. Normally I would not have ended up in jail and also not for such a long period of time but the justice system just runs very different from what you probably think. Normally it is highly corrupted but in my case it was a political situation of a Vietnamese and his niece who tortured a Cambodian boy. Not sure if you have an idea how high the anti-vietnamese sentiments go in Cambodia, but they run high I can tell you.

Normally you just pay your way out, even if you would be a serial killer, judges and lawyers are just accountants, nothing to do with the justice system but because of the political sensitivity, the judges apologised and asked me to wait until the political and public sentiments died down.

And to answer some of your questions:
- the video was shot by the niece of my ex boyfriend (in fact there was also a Vietnamese gang involved). Although my ex-boyfriend kept denying, I think he somehow knew what he was doing (the whole thing of the video was meant as a sadistic and horrible idea of blackmailing my ex bf in order to get my money (all of this without me knowing about it)
- I myself didn't know about the video until December 6 (luckily one of the few things that ended up in the court papers as being proven)
- because he kept telling me his niece was involved (and later this has been proved by the court in Hanoi) , I told him he had to go to Vietnam to report himself to the police there. And mind you, at the time I advised him this, all hell had broken loose in Vietnam but not in Cambodia.
- because of the political sensitivity, the judges were asking through my lawyers the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs to write a letter in which they would express their concern. But because of the situation with the dual nationality, the Dutch ministry refused. From that moment on, the judges apologized and asked me to wait and had to convict me. At the end I was convicted for not reporting a crime to the police within 24 hours after I had witnessed it on facebook (in fact I had no time because I was already arrested liken 20 hours later)

What happened to the boyfriend? You say he is dead? Did he die in prison and if so how?

Hi Stefan,

1.Why did you keep pictures of Dung on your Facebook, even after you were back in The Netherlands?

2.What happened to vascao.asia, was mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung Import & Export Manager?

3.Who is Ly Samnang? (Heng Ly is your Cambodian name?)

Just curious.

Your complaints seem to show that you have little care for any legal process or laws just because you or others have been able to bribe yourself out during past transgressions? Highly suspicious.
