Do all K440 Members read ToF as well?
Agree with Phuket's post. There seems to be an obsession with them on K440 which isn't replicated. As for mods, we've had some proper dickheads in that department over the years!
Used to post got sick of mods. Look occasionally but it’s all GM socks.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Apart from all the posts by Phucket, Doc, Kung-Fu, GONK etc.Phuket2006 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 8:35 amfunny how those here are so concerned about what goes on over there, yet over there, (even with one fucked up mod ) there is no concern about what goes on here,
The OP, whoever they are, merely asked a rather benign question, to which posters are just answering yes/no, mostly. I don't sense any ' ceo vs k440' theme. Maybe a few of the peeps got an issue with Gonk, but that's all I see.Phuket2006 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 8:35 amfunny how those here are so concerned about what goes on over there, yet over there, (even with one fucked up mod ) there is no concern about what goes on here,
why does it need be ceo vs k440?

That's not at all true, TOF ( the phrase was invented there because you are banned from mentioning K440) is often mentioned over there, mainly in a disparaging way. Over 1300 times in fact.Phuket2006 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 8:35 amfunny how those here are so concerned about what goes on over there, yet over there, (even with one fucked up mod ) there is no concern about what goes on here,

I do still read it but I don’t post there anymore.
I never liked their watermarking of what is clearly other outlets Newsfeed.
As of late I also developed a feeling that CEO posters are childish and the overall tone geared towards the expat 3.0 kind.
Edit: My favorite era was the years between Kh440 creation and my enrollment when I knew the real stories before they appeared wrongly described in a thread. I owned my own personal forum at that time that was called Kandal House.

Since the start of the pandemic, I've looked at Cambodia based forums over 1 hundred times, MUCH more frequently than in the past 20 years. Partly, that was working less, and hanging out indoors more. More recently, as often as not, it is when I'm busy and procrastinating that I check. For procrastination purposes, I find scanning BOTH K440 AND CEO an effective time waster.
Honestly, they seem pretty similar. I probably was reading K440 only a few times a year at the time CEO split off. I don't really know why they split and have no interest in learning about it. Both forms (all?) are like wandering 2nd hand stores, mostly kinda boring in a not unpleasant way, but with occasional minor-lottery-ticket joy whenever you come across some little gem of a string. Both drag some, but both have gems. Clearly the world is a richer place with both.

I seem to remember you posting negatively about K440 on TOF not so long ago.
Hypocritical much?

So what is ToF? I have been here only since 2014... despite first visit to Cambo in 2003... and did not even know CEO existed until last year, lol... ToF is off my radar... I deactivated my FB page a couple months ago due to time-wasting, and am now wasting time here, when I should be writing... This is all so silly... But, I would agree with Barang-doa-slae above... I have noticed that there are a lot of dumb comments on CEO and some of the discussions are pretty stupid and goofy, too.
I guess people are people, they change with passing time, and maybe certain posters gravitate to those who share their level of rudeness, lameness or rank humor.... Who knows... It is all just age. Humor of the young is not the same as the old... And what concerns older people isn't interesting to younger ones... And what the younger go in for seems often very silly to older people...

LOOK at what you get in Taiwan for a forum:
https://tw.forumosa.com/categories
Forumosa used to be a great forum, and seems to have declined from what it was 10 and 20 years ago when I lived there, into something much less racy and a lot more schoolmarmy and lame...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then there is Thailand, which has a huge forum with many thousands of active members and threads, wow! Teakdoor... ( I guess this is where the really rich people went to live... Like the Russians and Euros on Samui, etc... )
