This thread would certainly explain how Migs got vaccinated so quickly.

Meh, corruption?
It is what it is. No point getting your knickers all twisted by it.
My best local friend got vaccinated yesterday. He is 28.
His now deceased father-in-law had a government job. A mid level jobber.
He has been dead for about 5 years.
But the perks live on. His widow was approached by the old boss and asked her for a list of who is in her close family (officially household) for vaccination.
She gave them a list of 35 people, including children, children in law, cousins and 'aunts'. There was no due diligence done on list and everyone on it got the vaccine. Apparently it was a grand old family day out
It would be interesting to see how many of those who have been vaccinated are those with a connection and how many are genuine risk based vaccine allocation.

I know a fairly large group of people, almost all young people in their 20s who got the AZ vaccine very shortly after it arrived in Cambodia in a backroom cash deal. I honestly don't think the guy is massively connected - I may be wrong on that but he was able to pay out of pocket for his whole medium size company and the spouses of his staff to get the shot. They all met together in a rush after he called them out of the blue to go get the vaccine (It was either at his house or at their office) Its not a massive company by any means but he found a way to get his hands on the donated vaccines.
So, if middle class people have be able to get donated COVAX vaccines through corruption/nefarious means, just think about the proper rich people. They probably all have had it somehow.
It was inevitable that a bunch of vaccines would fall off the back of the delivery truck in Cambodia. Should we be surprised....

I know an expat who got the shot (Sinovac) from work, Royal Group. Everyone got it.
