TBH, I would not be surprised, when in the end, it turns out, the blood-clotting is just a Corona-19 symptom. And everybody becoming seriously Covid-19 ill, does have the same clotting symptoms. Symptoms that get masked by the more life-threatening other Covid-19 symptoms (long function).
Or so to say, when people get Covid-19 vaccinated, some of them will develop secondary Covid-19 symptoms. And when the virus markings do not enter the body through the longs or mucous these secondary symptoms will be more visible.
Looks easy to me.
Fear of vaccination
When autopsies are done on patients of covid related deaths, hundreds of blood clots are found all through he body. It is indeed a symptom of covid-19.
Percentages will certainly play a part in whether the AZ vaccine is continued, and I'm sure it will be.

Kinard, when I made my comment about percentages, I should have elaborated. The vaccination program is, in general, being conducted in age groups - oldest and most vulnerable first.
A hematologist will be answering my questions in a couple of days but I'm working on the idea that older people and the vulnerable are more likely to be on blood thinners. and other medication. I'm not sure how many of the deaths in this age group have autopsies performed. In Germany none.
Younger age groups(of which a large percentage of those with the serious brain clotting ) are now being vaccinated and this is happening more often. Although there are a large amount of strokes in the elderly as per VAERS.
The contraceptive pill may be a factor, as Chubucca noted in PM. It's much harder to pass these brain clots off as other things in the younger age groups and they generally have less pre-existing health conditions.

Or so to say, these blood clots are just a regular Covid-19 symptom and can be expected to happen to, when you create vaccines based on the regular Covid-19 characteristics.
Given this aspect, I would not be surprised, when the blood clots happen more often, though at a less noticeable level and as such not reported by the persons vaccinated, so never making their way to the statistics.
From this point of view, the mRNA Pfizer and Moderna might be more promising vaccination mechanisms (though with potentially other new unknown side effects). Or the old-fashioned chicken-egg vaccine creation route .....

I’d rather risk dying by blood clot than risk dying from pneumonia. Simple choice for me - I will be getting the vaccine.

Yeah, the Covid-19 side effects are much more impressive than the Vaccine side effects

I have a question if anyone, expert or non expert, has an opinion. Why is the risk of blood clots from AstraZeneca higher in those under 50? What makes a younger person more susceptible?

Ahhhh I get it now - it’s not that those under 50 are more at risk, it is that the risk from covid to those over 50 is greater and makes the risk of blood clots less significant

Nope. Just watching a livestream that says it is more likely in younger people - probably due to stronger immune system response. I’ll just post to myself here

The consequences for covid survivors makes grim reading too; dementia, nerve damage, brain damage, heart damage and of course the lungs.
