The EU just decided that US people are welcome, starting this summer, provided, vaccinated with an EU approved vaccine.
Just bollocks, though pretty relevant.

They’re considering it and “may” approve it.

Yeah, though the essence of my story is: These vaccination types DO matter (as well the way the vaccinations are registered).YaTingPom wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 11:05 amThey’re considering it and “may” approve it.
“Based on von der Leyen’s comments, the European Commission will recommend the change in travel policy, though individual member states may reserve the right to keep stricter limits. They might not permit citizens from outside the bloc to visit or might enforce restrictions like quarantines, even on visitors who have vaccination certificates.”
COVID (or the response to it) has a habit of screwing up plans.
Throw enough (bull)shit and some will stick.
(Be interesting to see what the UK say about it and their way forward)

Thank you, yeah, English is not my native language. I invite you to write in a non-English EU language, and we'll make fun out of thatGuest9999 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 11:27 amv12,
A friendly, quite unimportant, correction as you have made the same mistake before. It is at whim, not "wimp".

Yes, we don't know. It COULD be, the Chinese vaccine(s) is/are going to be approved by the EU. Though, I also seriously think, this is not going to happen, because the fundamentals of such an approval is open research data around the Chinese approval process and that's never going to be released (at least not as long as WdP is in charge).

I think I am understanding what you are saying - although I don't quite agree that it will depend on China releasing research data. The latest efficacy data is being drawn from places like Brazil, Chile, Turkey, UAE, Bahrain, where the predominant vaccines are the Chinese ones.v12 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:35 pmYes, we don't know. Added: You have to make a distinction between the effective medical side of a vaccine and the approval of that vaccine. A vaccine can be perfectly safe/useful, though not approved and then, you won't get it recognized in the EU.

Oh that sounds like the very definition of key front-line workers, and the most vulerable.
