Not yet, though expect this to come. And the only vaccines recognized will be the ones approved in that (Western) area.
I just got my second shot

Thailand has
Thailand has approved a list of eight Covid-19 vaccine makers, including Sinovac Biotech and Pfizer, for foreign visitors seeking to shorten a mandatory quarantine on arrival.
Visitors to Thailand will need to upload copies of the vaccination certificates on the website of the nation's foreign ministry prior to arrival to reduce the quarantine period to seven days. Those without vaccinations will still need to undergo 10 days of isolation and visitors from countries including South Africa will be subject to a two-week quarantine.
The list of approved vaccine makers are Sinovac, AstraZeneca, SK Bioscience, Pfizer, BioNTech, Serum Institute of India, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Sinopharm Group.

And you know every single one of us? I got my second last Wednesday. No bribes, just called when summoned. There wasn't actually any queue or delay at the place once we found it.crim wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 3:10 pm
Every single one of us is going to have to push and shove to get a shot, or pay for in it some way. Your going to pay for it with your time.
The two Chinese vaccines (Sinopharm, Sinovac) are in the latter stages of the WHO emergency approval (same as AZ and Pfizer) for the COVAX program for distribution, along with two others (another one by Sinopharm). Likely to be approved first half of June.
As I’ve stated. If you’ve had any Chinese vaccine it will not stop you entering a western country.
Pretty sure you can have mixed doses anyway.

Mixing: You won't die of that, it is being done in the EU, though it is not "approved".YaTingPom wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:19 amThe two Chinese vaccines (Sinopharm, Sinovac) are in the latter stages of the WHO emergency approval (same as AZ and Pfizer) for the COVAX program for distribution, along with two others (another one by Sinopharm). The issue is, it is not so very likely, the Chinese vaccines will be approved in the EU. Simple reasons for that is the lack of transparency around the testing in China.
And, without an EU approved vaccine, you won't get the "benefits" which pretty likely will come up, once the political blocks are resolved around that. Think of entering the EU without quarantine from the more safe countries, with just a PCR test and being vaccinated with a recognized vaccine. That kind of things. They won't block (can't) you without vaccination, though make things less pleasant, so to say.

Apropos of nothing. I learned a new word last week.

I give up.
Besides, WHO isn’t an EU organisation, hence “World” in their name and the DG is Ethiopian.

Just got my 2nd shot of mystery China medicine this morning. For free. Feeling the monkey livers kicking in already.
Your best protection is staying home. You’re more likely to catch COVID getting a jab than not bothering and with the efficacy being so crap it’s a real gamble.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Ah bollocks. Sinovac appears to be working and will be approved officially in the next few days.

Beggars can't be choosers, can't stay inside forever and even mild covid will be better that normal covid. Get the jab and shut up.
Now that the defecation has hit the rotary oscillator, free Covid treatment is off the table, and there are about 10,000 active cases, are you going to hang on to your altruistic beliefs?
Personally, I'm happy with my choices.
Stay safe out there!
