The guy obviously has mental problems, he made loads of 10 second long videos telling the PM how great he was and he hopes his son will get his job next....
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
He also forgot to pay for his visa before covid apparently, circa 2018
Whatever happened to Denis? I remember him from Battambang days when he was living in Sisophon. A very odd dude who my friend Lee used to drink with on occasion. Lee said he went to his house in Sisophon and the living room had a chair, a table and hundreds of empty cans of beer, that was all. And a fair amount of dust.
Sounds exactly like PSD_Kiwi's current digs

Denis drowned in a river ten years ago or more. Some think there was something suspicious about his drowning but personally I think he just stopped for a drunken piss and slipped. His handle on here was Monty and there was a thread about it at the time.Vox II wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 9:10 amWhatever happened to Denis? k440, something to do when you're pissed.
It's a sad tale actually. He went missing sometime in 2013. His family recruited a private dick to go searching and very sadly his body was located in a shallow grave downstream from Kampong Cham. Without investigation it was reported that he had "accidently" fallen into the Mekong and drowned.
The last foreigners to have officially seen him alive (Tania and that angry internet troll with the homestay)are now also dead so its most certainly case closed.
"Goodness me! Now STD free..."
The scandal fork has been made.
Which way will the thread go from here.
As for the rapist, do the crime, do the time.
Stay where you are rapist!

Ah, now I remember that... What a sad and strange story. That Battambang ACE School has some bad joojoo.horace wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 9:40 amDenis drowned in a river ten years ago or more. Sorry Bandemic (!feY8CAIQ/M) to hijack the thread away from abusing the Nicholas in question (happy to have never made his acquaintance), but I wish to defend the dearly departed Denis.
Well, he was a drunk, and I heard he could occasionally be nasty very late in the evening, but even accepting that, he was intelligent, educated, and a good person, and well worth talking to. I haven't read many of his Uncle Monty posts, so don't know how he came across here, but I liked him personally.
He was a skinny, quirky Englishman, but otherwise very dissimilar to the topic of this thread.
(Vox ll, Indeed. For one, look how KIR ended up. And worse, Sandy and Partner bought a farm in Turkey 16 years ago: horses, goats, donkeys, cats, dogs and chickens. Before Covid, they still seemed happy.)

Agreed. I never really knew him. He was definitely quirky but nothing like the topic, for sure. I wonder what happened to the Canadian guy who ran the school. I know Henk is still there and Ray Zepp is still knocking around. The one most missed is Lee who was a lovely guy.Guest9999 wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:34 pmSorry Bandemic (!feY8CAIQ/M) to hijack the thread away from abusing the Nicholas in question (happy to have never made his acquaintance), but I wish to defend the dearly departed Denis.

I knew Dennis, never met him in a nasty mood.

He's lost his money, possibly his marbles, however his sense of entitlement is firmly intact.
