With your current choice of company, the next to disappear is likely to be miguelito from the Royal Selangor for some such faux pas as wearing slip on shoes with his dinner jacketBarang_doa_slae wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 2:47 pmThis morning I had a strange feeling of having merrier times when expats main cause of disappearance were due to their demise, deportation or time being served.

As newly installed General Manager of the Royal Selnagor, thank you for bringing this heinous crime to my attention, such behaviour cannot and will not be tolerated at our venerable institution.
No doubt Mr. Miguelito will try to defend himself by stating some kind of farcical European fashion fad is a "timeless classic", when a true gentleman would of course never look beyond a pair of Oxfords, and most certainly not "Brogues" for that matter. We will not tolerate such slavish guests wearing slippers clearly desmonstrating their dismal GQ magazine influences.
Yours Sincerely
The Management

I guess you mean sales of assorted personal junk via Facebook?
A guy that most certainly was a character in 'Off The Rails', once told me that one time he decided to leave Cambodia permanently after living here, I believe 1993 to 1999. (He failed to leave that time, but successfully left Cambodia, and simultaneously the planet, about ten years later.)
To ease his departure, he decided to give it all away. First he set up a table outside his Phnom Penh flat. Then he began carting outside everything he couldn't fit inside his small back pack. His landlord took an interest, and guarded it until the table and all the space around it was full. He asked the landlord to write a Khmer note saying that everything was free to anyone who wanted it. It wasn't the grateful teary eyed love fest he'd envisioned.
A giant fight broke out almost immediately once the note was placed atop the pile. His TV fell and was broken. A box of cups and plates, same fate, when the box tore between opposing clenched fists. Books were ripped in half. The suit he wore to weddings and job interviews had one arm torn off. Punches were thrown. He said he grabbed his backpack and scurried away crying.

But did you bring your bike with you ?
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

We may not of always seen eye to eye, but I'm happy you are back in the KOW and look forward to your post about how the place has changed and also your exploits over the past several years.

Been here for three years and enjoying myself, don't plan on leaving, Battambang is quiet but nice and less risk of virus here, not completely but more secure I guess
Lots of dogs and cats looking for “forever homes”, again.
