Our eldest is now 14 and thanks to a year at East West when she was small learnt English easily. She now speaks, reads and writes perfectly. Soon to work part time at Subway where as a 14 year old can earn nearly $18 an hour!
The little one is 9, bright, athletic and very artistic. She wants to be a vet. These kids would have had zero options in the Cambodian bush.
Good to see Ricecakes in his element. The NT is a great place with much better weather than here where it’s always fucking raining. But it’s great to never be cold and live in a beautiful
natural environment.
Northbridge School was sold in 2014 to the big conglomerate. They had pretty good teachers but tooled up bodyguards drinking in the grounds was a terrible look. I remember one occasion when a drunk produced a gun and threatened to shoot a Northbridge employee when he didn’t open a gate quickly enough.
Are you sure about the comparison with Cairns? The wet we had in Darwin this year was the most humid, torrential season I’ve ever seen. That includes my time in Burma, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.
At the peak in January I had some kind of fungi growing on my spare wheel cover, such was the humidity.
