A Chinese guy was keeping a lion in Boeng Keng Kang
That Chinese guy must spend a lot of money on food for the lion.
Are there still any Christian missionaries in town?

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

This was reported on KhmerTimes, but f you click on the picture you get 'no data'.
I wonder how much that cost?
Did they send out a cub reporter?

Must be connected ($$$$). Got the lion back plus his $36k fine. Never mind that he got the 'pet' into Cambodia w/o a permit/clearance and didn't have any permit to even keep it in the area.

Mig, it was in the Khmer Times. I followed the saga from start to finish? Been some pix of it since then of it OUTSIDE his gate pawing to get back in. I'll bet he got an apology too in addition to his $$$$ back!

"It has also transpired that, despite being fined $30,000 for breaking Cambodian law by keeping a lion in a residential area, owner Zhai Xinjiang has not paid the fine and therefore does not require a refund of fine monies."
I missed the whole "Blackmail" claim too.

Mig evidently I missed that article because the last one I read said he got his fine money back too.
I did see an article when I read that one of with a picture of the lion resting comfortably behind a Lambo with what appears to be a very "chic" custom paint job.
I tried to trace the return article back but the Khmer Times articles stopped sometime last month.
The last article I read was the one about the $4k 'blackmail' plot by a former disgruntled employee.
Khmer Times July 5th:
"In response to a Facebook user about what happened to the fine charged by authorities, Mr Hun Sen said that the money will be returned to the lion owner."

I read somewhere that the Lion Ching doesn't actually live at the house, and is rented for his pets only although some minders probably dwell there as well.
