I saw a story a few days ago about some expat Canadians who had had 4 Covid jabs within 6 months to avoid some Canadian entry requirements. Might you end up doing something similar?
The several groups of Canadians in the story did not seem motivated by virus fear, or even mention the suspected efficacy of particular jab brands, rather they did it to take advantage of policies that reward vaccinated individuals, but only count certain types of vaccines as meeting their standards.
Many of you have probably received Sinocac or Sinopharm, for example, and WHO has accepted both of these as meeting certain minimum standards. If these had been available in my part of Cambodia, I would happily have had either. Not top rated, but much better than nothing. (Both in real terms, improving the odds of me not getting very sick, and in social terms, because others would be more comfortable to be in my company.) However, Canada currently accepts only 4 vaccines as proof of vaccination, and requires the full dosage to be in one of those 4, plus two weeks after your final shot.
Over the next 12 months, I expect we are likely to see more of this, for travel, for certain group activities, and for some employers. Cheating on vaccination cards will be a temptation for some, and many employers might not check too carefully, but with flights and border crossing in particular, high fines, maybe with jail time, will make cheating less appealing.
Thoughts?
For Vax docs, how many will get 4 jabs?
The only difference on entry between vaccinated and non vaccinated (non approved) is the quarantine requirement.
That’s not going to change anytime soon.

I will get 4 jabs.
Already had the 2 sinovac in Cambodia but will get 2 more of a western made one when the opportunity arises. More for the ease of travel than added protection (a vaccine card from UK will have more weight than the Cambodian one)
