Wow ! It's getting tight for unvaccinated people and difficult to implement for many restaurants. The measure however shows that the Cambodian Government takes the Pandemic seriously. It'll be interesting how the oncoming fall will affect Europe, Australia and the US which have opened up during the Summer Month. If the Pandemic continues much longer with lockdowns etc. there won't be much left for Tourists to wine and dine, or stay in Hotels.

Might be the structure of your sentence causing me to misread, but Australia isn’t open yet, and it isn’t summer there yet.Expatissimo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 1:36 amWow ! The measures are standard measures in Australia for food preparation and general covid-19 ‘social’ distancing. Haven’t any of these measures been in place in Cambodia yet? E.g. 1.5m distancing of tables?
A bit of a leap from zero to 100 for Cambodia.
I guess street food carts are not permitted.
Australia is yet to accept rapid antigen testing use.

Pure insanity.
Nice World Economic Forum graphics.

Fucked up. Most places can not maintain a 1.5m gap as they are small operations. Staff can not eat or talk together? At night they all sleep in the same place... That is the reality for many Khmer SMEs. These measures seem to be dreamed up by the WHO/a barang without taking Cambodia into consideration.
Good luck informing your waitress by sign language Also don't forget the industry is near bankrupt so how they gonna pay for Covid testing, protective equipment, table screens etc. If enforced this would be the end for all but the large players.

That's great, things have been getting too comfortable and cozy here lately. I look forward to the mandatory QR code tattoo.
