The Shop the rise and fall
I saw them having some Chinese signage delivered.
Comme a la Maison was great 2017-2018. Fresh croissants and pain au chocolate best prices in the neighbourhood. Breakfast there so many mornings….until it was sold. Prices went up, size went down, was never the same. Didn’t it shutter in 2019?Green Martian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 3:03 pmNever went there for food, just chocolate. Expensive as f*ck but good quality and a number of flavors you couldn't find anywhere in PP. I still miss Comme la Maison (or however you spell that) in Bkk1 too. Once bought / taken over by a Khmer owner it was run into the ground fast...
The Shop by the US Embassy used to have free flow breakfast at a good price. Never knew I could down so many cappuccinos and eggs benedict in one sitting…

When you say 'The shop' you mean 'Khema', right?
Has anything happened to khema? I used to go there a couple times a week for their free flow breakkie and wine& cheese on Thursdays, fantastic value.

I think he mean the Shop restaurant located inside the Central Mansion Apartment on St.102 about 100 meters to the US Embassy.
Was the Shop originally opened by Simon and Kith Sophia? I'm thinking of the bar:boulangerie they opened in bkk years ago
Rated R for Ricecakes
That's "The Shop 3", Shop 2 being in Toul Kork, Shop 1 on st. 240Slow Delivery wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 3:31 pmI think he mean the Shop restaurant located inside the Central Mansion Apartment on St.102 about 100 meters to the US Embassy.

Did the shop ever have free flow breakfast?Spigzy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 6:09 pmThat's "The Shop 3", Shop 2 being in Toul Kork, Shop 1 on st. 240Slow Delivery wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 3:31 pmI think he mean the Shop restaurant located inside the Central Mansion Apartment on St.102 about 100 meters to the US Embassy.
I wasnt aware of it... seems strange, I clearly know everything else.
Possible, I do remember when the Shop open a modess food stall inside the Colonial Manson ( now Central Mansion) a d they flourish over the years, now the Shop at the Central Manson is a bit high end.
Sorry, not sure on that specific, you're probably right - merely stating "The Shop" in Central Mansion is technically The Shop 3ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 6:48 pmDid the shop ever have free flow breakfast?Spigzy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 6:09 pmThat's "The Shop 3", Shop 2 being in Toul Kork, Shop 1 on st. 240Slow Delivery wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 3:31 pmI think he mean the Shop restaurant located inside the Central Mansion Apartment on St.102 about 100 meters to the US Embassy.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, the Shop in Central Mansion in the photo shown in previous post. It's still doing free flow breakfast? (I moved from PP in late 2019 to Hong Kong and COVID travel restrictions have kept me away from checking on things.)
