Doctor sings a song sitting on swastika box
I thought it was going to be the Buddhist symbol for 'eternity', but it actually appears to be the Nazi swastika.

It's conducive to well-being, only the eurocentric thinks this a hate symbol. Just like the Roman salute Hitler nicked them from overseas.
PS.
Apologies, not nicked but culturally appropriated.
Nobody complains about the hordes of unwashed backpackers wearing the hammer and sickle on their tee shirts. That symbol has caused far more death and misery that what the swastika ever has.

It's not a Buddhist or Hindu or Jain swastika. It's a Nazi swastika.Fred Edwards wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 1:58 am

Nobody complains because they basically don't exist. Hammer & Sickle T shirts and socks were a thing for a very brief period in the mid 1980s. They were just a provocative symbol, nobody who wore them cared about Marx or Engels or any of that shit. However people who wear Nazi swastikas do seem to have some pretty fucked up ideas.Nobody complains about the hordes of unwashed backpackers wearing the hammer and sickle on their tee shirts. Because it's been turned around a few degrees it's now something different. I know you like to be right and I'm sure you will have an explanation for these elephants in Denmark. Fuck me the word swastika comes directly from sanskrit. At least if you called it by its German name you might have an argument but the article says swastika not Hakenkreuz!
Oops sorry you're right again.
Do you think the person who is sitting on the box thinks it's a good luck symbol or a hate symbol,he probably never even notice because he is not obsessed with Nazis like Europeans are.

Or the Union Jack.
Or the Belgian flag.

The Nazis were NOT the first to reverse the symbol, common error

No, they weren't. However, the Swastika as depicted on the box is a Nazi symbol. Stop finding excuses for the display of racist symbols.ragtag wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:09 amhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika#East_Asia

What I was thinking.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 4:37 pmYou could have bet your house on Fred being the first poster to pop up with ‘oh the swastika’ isn’t so bad. He never disappoints.

You cannot take it away as a holy symbol of peace these days. It would offend far too many people for the common good. The point is, millions of people have died fighting a crazy blondie loving vegetarian and failed artist down the path of hate and deception.
The Raelian symbol is pretty neat
Anyways I can't help but laugh at the people attacking Fred. He is part Jewish himself and some of his family members risked their lives fighting fascism and Nazism during the war. Unlike most of the keyboard warriors, Fred has actually confronted Nazism in Cambodia when he mocked the Waffen SS guy at a standup comedy show. Fred's antifascist qualifications cannot be questioned.

In the UK they have war reenactment weekends where people dress up in their favorite uniform. Lots of Germans and Yanks come over with their SS uniforms emblazoned with Nazi symbols and lots of Nazi flags. It’s illegal in Germany (Europe?) to display them.
It’s like 1000s of expat nutters on riverside all at once. Yes I went in a mate’s Abraham’s tank.
Very odd experience. Lots of ziegheils. .
