"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
I'd love to nitpick your usage of apostrophes but I'll save that for when I am truly bored.Phuket2006 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 10:01 amwhat is the fascination with Gonks life?

"Goodness me! Now STD free..."
Given the amount of activity on TOF versus here, it hardly seems as if the moderators over there are "killing" it. You could, however, question the quality of the content there....
Do you think that the other forum makes people more right wing?
I've noticed that some uses who are members of of both forms seem have a more right-wing outlook when they post there.
Want do you think?

Gonkolita is 'The' example of someone who should not own a forum. Therefore, imho, all abuse of him is fair game. Lay it on thick.Phuket2006 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 10:01 amwhat is the fascination with Gonks life?

This thread is rather interesting. Those who appear affronted by the management culture of a small forum provide insight as to how much some individuals become invested in specific social media.
This appears a similar emotional connection to brands that car companies exploit with regards to first-car buyers.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Not surprised ToF is going down the gurgler; I recently changed.

Has 440 always produced paragons of forum leadership?
Just curious
Keeping-it-reil was the forum owner model; cynical, sarcastic, puerile, petulant, funny as fuck and at times a right bitch. God only knows I loved that man.leftiski wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 5:36 amWhat qualities are required and who decides who SHOULD own a forum?JollyBee wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 4:30 pmGonkolita is 'The' example of someone who should not own a forum. And that's neither a dig at Peter nor Gonk
When juxtaposed against those evil-clowns they appear to be rather mild. Definitely more intelligent.leftiski wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 5:36 amWhat qualities are required and who decides who SHOULD own a forum?JollyBee wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 4:30 pmGonkolita is 'The' example of someone who should not own a forum.
