Aljazeera's documentary on Cyber Slaves in Cambodia
Released a couple of days ago this 45 min documentary highlights the connections between senior govt officials and those that own the cyber crime mills and enslave thousands in the KOW.
Funny how they always bitch about protecting the Cambodian image when somebody complains about something e.g. the dude in the covid center, females wearing certain clothes, etc.
However these stories who have a real impact on the image are not being dealt with. Sure, some arrests or deportations but no investigation into the big players.
So the big man and his clan are profiting of this or HE has lost control. Neither are very good..... If it is the former he should have slapped some Royal Group posters on those compounds and casinos. Free PR. Otherwise time to clean out the local mayors and police.....
Will watch the vid once I find some spare time. Thx for reporting.

I loved the responses of the lackeys on offer.
Long 'Sunday' who was Ambassador to South Korea (under shady circumstances) and suddenly put as Deputy Gov of Shitsvile (a demotion for some unknown reason).
"Hehe, I think, maybe, that's enough?"
and the auld witch.
Interviewer: ... links to Hun To
Auld Witch: (FUCK) erm, let me check first (exit stage right for awkward call to bigger bosses).
The whole 'don't know' argument is pretty weak when some woman who throws a shoe at a billboard or some guy makes a joke about his chickens get hunted down via facebook and do years in the nick.
If it wasn't so tragic, it would be hilarious.

Just watched it. I was not surprised by some of the names popping up e.g. the big boss, Hun To and Try Pheap. Global Witness had a nice info-graphic with the HS clan and those closely related. So you could find names and connections there. I do not have much knowledge of the Chinese persons / business here but Prince seemed dodgy. If it walks like a duck, quack likes a duck..... Nice to see it confirmed.

I miss information on how they move money. Only a few references to Bitcoin but that would be too complicated for Chinese farmers. So what banks operating here are implicated? There have been so many new players over the past few years. Prince is of course an obvious one. Maybe Australia likes to dig a bit more into Hun To?
That anti-trafficking and other official muppet act exactly like the Khmer stereotype we notice while being longer in the country (usually in higher positions...). Acting like utter dumb f*cks without any moral conscience. If this is how HE likes to promote the country he has done a great job....
The Thai are good at making dissidents disappear without a trace, even in Cambodia. Maybe they for once could up their game and wipe out some of these dodgy Chinese.

At some stage Facebook (and other social media networks) needs to accept responsibility. They host most of these adverts. Call somebody fat on FB and Schmuckerberg's Nazis will ban you within seconds.
Post an obviously entrapping job advert with zero details, which blatantly contradicts Cambodia's Labour Laws, and everything's fine.
The world has gone mad, the penalty for offending somebody is harsher than that for trafficking them.

Unless multiple people report a scam advert the FB Nazis (bots algorithms etc) won’t pick up on it and even if they do who decides if it’s a scam?
It’s just a job advert.
It’s just a job advert.
pew, pew, pew, pew!

CRIMEChinese kingpin of transnational call centre gang arrested at Bangkok airportleahPublished on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 11:54By leah
A Chinese man wanted for trafficking Chinese people across borders to work in call centre gangs in Laos and Cambodia was arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on Saturday.
Chief of Police Suwat Chaengyordsook received a call on Friday, July 22, warning him that a Chinese fugitive wanted on an Interpol ‘Red Notice’ would be travelling to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok the next day. Zhou Dawei – age unknown – was wanted in China under suspicion of “trafficking people in and out of the country.”
Dawei was arrested by Thai police upon his arrival in Bangkok on Saturday and was interrogated at Suvarnabhumi Airport Detention Centre. Dawei confessed to bringing Chinese people into Laos and Cambodia to work in call centre gangs. Chinese authorities informed Thai police that Dawei’s passport had already been revoked and requested that he be deported back to China to be prosecuted. Thai police put Dawei on China Southern Airlines flight CZ 3082 to Guangzhou at 5pm yesterday, July 25. The Chinese authorities paid for his deportation

Thanks Wiener, good to see a bigger fish is getting f#cked. I wonder if the criminal was aware of the Red Notice. Some are and try to travel regardless. Others get a nice surprise at the border.
Lets hope we can track the sentencing in China.

Recently there have been some arrests in Thailand of bigger players and also arrests in Taiwan of recruiters.

Today our lovely lady friend is in the news again:

She claims the police is cracking down but they have no idea who the criminals are. During the documentary it was spelled out to her. So they are still not willing to go after top players. Too well connected, too much money at stake.... So good luck crying about Cambodia's image. It is well deserved.
