She's I believe half Khmer and half Swiss, her father was a big shot in Lon Nol's air force and a member of the Norodom branch of the royal family. She was a popular radio DJ here and also ran a ballet school. She was quite cute looking but one of those people I met quite a few times but never warmed to. Apparently she lives in Israel nowadays.

Wow. I didn't know that about Anne's family. I only remember her as the cute radio personality and DJ-ing at live gigs and later her attempts at forming a ballet company in PP which Playboy helped support before their crash and burn.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 8:13 pmShe's I believe half Khmer and half Swiss, her father was a big shot in Lon Nol's air force and a member of the Norodom branch of the royal family. Nobody keeps in contact with Joon? Seems strange as she made quite an impact here but her stint as a mod destroyed that. Terrible decision. Let your interesting and prolific posters just be posters and not have them working to moderate the posts of others.
One thing I noticed about Khmer posters on this and TOF. Joon, Jesse, Samouth, etc. join the forum(s) and post like mad for a while (or years) racking up thousands of posts each and then stop posting altogether very abruptly and completely.

How about poster Ned Kelly who also joined this forum in a whirlwind of posting activity over a decade ago and wrote some front page articles? Bit of a meth head and rock'n'rolla wannabe as I recall but seemed sort himself out over time and settled down. Is he still kicking around town? Forget why he stopped posting. I recall he shared a apartment with the late Peter Hogan for a while and later had some landlord issues involving a missing cat, which prompted this lame username.

Ned is still around, I bumped into him in the last few months.

90% of 440 posters have met LaudJohn and in a strange paradigm that’s the amount of posters 440 has lost….Ned's missing cat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 8:53 pm

I thought RAA left Israel a while ago and returned to PP. I've not been abreast of things though, so she may well have returned to Israel.

What ever happened to Dr Suess?
I liked that lifestyle show on Radio One back then. I just checked it out on Youtube not having an FM radio with a car and all that. But all in all it was a fun affair with a good drive to it. It reminds me of the carefree days before c19. Could it be coming back in a new form in the near future? I would hope so, because it is good for any country to be open to international business, whatever the challenges.

Prahocalypse Now is another that comes to mind.

You often seem to know the current whereabouts of people that have since long gone silent here.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 10:25 pmStill around.Wassup wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 2:15 pmWhat ever happened to Dr Suess?
Out of curiosity, have you interacted with and remember every frequent poster on this forum?
Obviously not referring to myself as a frequent poster, but I am pretty confident I met you almost ten years ago, but we didn't interact beyond saying hi, a friend mentioned that you were posting under this account the next day.
I'd say it's more to do with LL being part of this forum in it's early days when the expat community of PP was much smaller and everyone knew everyone.Guru Meditation wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 1:27 amYou often seem to know the current whereabouts of people that have since long gone silent here.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 10:25 pmStill around.Wassup wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 2:15 pmWhat ever happened to Dr Suess?
