Piccolo Luigi’s in Tonle Ballsack has the best Frutti di Mare / Seafood pizzas anywhere in Phnom Penh.
Of course the excellent Sushi Bar in BKK1,as good as Thailand’s excellent Fuji chain but in a different way if you know what I mean as in not as sterile?

There are three classes of people: those who see, those who see when they are shown, those who do not see. ~ Leonardo da Vinci
Where precisely, please?
Well would you Adam & Eve it....172 goes artisan.
There's a very pleasant new bread, pastry and coffee shop, Num Paing Barang. Seems to be run by friendly local folk who give a damn.
Adjacent to the Royal Overdose at the Wat Ounulum end of the street.

I noticed Lone Pine mentioned a couple times in the first page...didn't it close a couple months ago?
Heres a few honourable mentions for restaurants in TTP....
For those who like smoked meats, Carolina BBQ on St. 460 shouldn't be missed, brisket, pork ribs, wings....they also do tacos and burgers but haven't tried them.
Cakes & Crafts on the same street does very good burgers, with their in-house home made burger buns.
The Deck on st.135 have a chef who makes home made pasta, very good and reasonably priced.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Are you sure about that? I was sure it had closed.
I was invited to their final night and am friends with a couple of the staff on FB - they never post about the restaurant anymore, I know one has opened a small eating place at her home.

Mea culpa. There was a post on FB a few months ago that they would close. This was followed by another post that they would not close after all. But it is now permanently closed.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 5:41 amAre you sure about that? I was sure it had closed.

I once made a mistake too.
Thought I'd add to this after a trip up to Siem Reap.
Crep'Italy is still going after all these years and still excellent. They even keep Montepulciano D'Abruzzo.
There's a beautifully designed Khmer restaurant on the river but away from the madding crowd called Prahoc. Sign and menu only in Khmer, which surprised me as it's quite flash looking but very good and not expensive. I guess they don't want the madding crowd.
Dak Dam coffee in the same area. Best coffee I can remember having anywhere, again beautifully designed. Apparently there are branches in PP but haven't tried them.
In general, they've got stai up there in temple town. I wonder who's designing the interiors and why we have to eat in toilets in Phnom Penh.

It's a nice place (for 172). A good value breakfast, fruit, yoghurt, coffee and eggs/bread for $5 would have been better if the chef had actually cooked the eggs, rather than dumping them raw on a plate. I like runny eggs, but zut alors. Maybe it's some French recipe.
Still went back the next morning for coffee, but didn't go for the oeuf cru.

Also tried a kebab at Mama Turk- was ok for the price, and also met Lucky L for some beers and Polish/Slavic grub at a place called Warsaw on 178 (?). That was good value for money too.
