Not that new, I'm guessing they introduced it to stop all the couples getting married purely for foreigners to get citizenship.Kiwi wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 12:52 pmThat must be a new thing because in the 90s I arrived in NZ in July, got married to a kiwi in August and had citizenship certificate and passport by the end of the same year, completely bypassing any PR visa.
How many wives have citizenship ?
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

I have been married to my Cambodian wife for over 20 years. She is now a U.S, citizen. She and I have traveled the globe a bit for my work and she is not a helpless village girl. She picks up foreign languages with ease and gets along well where ever we go,She worked for me for a few years before we married and I think that we were accustomed to treating each other with respect before we for into a relationship and it seems to have worked out well as we have never spoken an angry or bitter word to each other during the entire time that we have known each other. She and I live on a small farm in FLorida and enjoy life together. She loves animals and we have enough room to keep as many pets as she wants. We have a pond full of fish and several acres of forest and about 6 acres of lawn to mow and a dew garden plots on our land so we have plenty of things to do to keep ourselves busy,She and I do not smoke or use drugs or drink alcohol and we do not gamble we just do not have anything to argue about,She has a great sense of humor and I also enjoy a joke so we live a pretty contented life.I get along well with my wife;s family in Cambodia and hope to get some of them here to attend university here in the U.S. she has 9 nieces and some of them are ready to attend university. All of them are really pretty and are polite and pleasent.I doubt if any of them will remain single long if they come here to attend school. My wife is now 51 but is still very attractive,She exercises daily and eats properly so I doubt if she will show her age until she is much older. My wife is Khemer but she has enough sense to know when to say no to relatives who try and make their problems our problems.I have never had to ask her to do that,She has enough common sense to know what is right and what is not.I suppose that is one of the reasons that we have never had problems.I feel really blessed to have her as my wife.I think that because she worked for me for a few years before we got into a relationship she grew accustomed to me and I grew accustomed to her and we just kept treating each other with respect.

My wife is Cambodian by birth but is now a U.S. citizen. She and I have been together for 27 years. My wife and I have a very happy and loving relationship and have never had any problems in our marriage. We have travelled to many countries for my work prior to my retirement and have enjoyed a good life together.I am 74 now and she is 51.She is still very attractive and she keeps fit by exercising every day and eating properly so she just does not seem to age.She will likely remain attractive all of her life. Her parents both looked much younger than their age up to the time that they passed. We have never spoken an angry word to each other and have never argued. If we disagree we talk it over without getting angry.I am not selfish nor is she,so usually we both decide to give in and do things the way the other suggested and end up making a compromise that satisfies each of us.We do not drink smoke or do drugs of any kind and we are both faithful to each other so there is not much left for us to argue about. She is very attractive and men often try to flirt with her but I am not jealous and she always responds politely but lets them know that she is not available so that has never become a problem. She is jealous but I am a short fat old man and no women on the planet is likely to find me attractive or flirt with me.So we never have a reason to get angry.
