Hmm. All are valid except for 5 & 7.
Motorbike and car probably most common but others are pretty frequently used also.

Anything less than 5-6k and I walk. More than that, and it is a rickshaw.
The company actually gives me a car and a driver but I sent him home the day I started working here. Not my style to have someone waiting whilst I have a feed. Also, I prefer my staff not knowing where and when I go. Not because I have something to hide, but private is private.

Ditto on that Hanno, at one point I had to have a driver & although he was a top fella, I couldn't wait to just be back on two wheels taking roads less travelled; you get no sense of Cambodia stuck in the back seat of a car.
I have a girl's Harley Davidson for getting around town because I am gay, but 6ft with a very small penis that doesn't fit a scooter, and then I use the car for anything family oriented/shopping, etc.

Motorbike on my own, car with the kids, tuk tuk if drinking to excess.

I’m surprised there’s only 1 car owner. There must be fewer Americans in the group than I thought.

There are several. But perhaps car just isn’t the primary mode of transportnerdlinger wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 5:27 pmI’m surprised there’s only 1 car owner. There must be fewer Americans in the group than I thought.
I always walked if I could but failing that would get a motodop. That doesn’t seem to be on option on the poll, assuming the moped option is meant to mean your own bike.
They've nearly gone. I reckon the helmet laws did for them as you could no longer spot them by the baseball hat.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 8:57 pmI always walked if I could but failing that would get a motodop. To the poll, bicycle me.

I used to mainly cycle around, for more than ten years. Obviously the traffic has changed a lot over that time but that wasn't really why I stopped. About a year ago. I was away for a month and when I got back it was just too rainy to get into and I just sort of never got into it again. I'd like to get into it again, just for some exercise.
Nowadays I take those little auto rickshaws, Bajaj/Piaggio Ape etc. They are just about okay around town with slow traffic but sometimes I've been terrified when they speed. They look like solid Beetle egg shapes from the outside but they are about as solid as a golf umbrella.
For longer trips or when I'm drunk/paranoid Grab cars are always easy to get and cost very little, less than the old-style Tuk Tuk drivers used to gouge you for. When there's heavy rain/ flooding they aren't so easy to get but at least they work, some of the flood waters on Mao Tse Tung on a wet afternoon would sweep an auto rickshaw away.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
The passapp changed everything from bargaining to excessive barang fees. The 3-wheel rickshaws are quite cramped but allow you to move fairly quickly and the application takes care of telling them where to go. I was dependent on a local before, but that has since changed. Do I miss the good ol' inconvenient days? Haphazardly made tuktuks? Yes, but again, the past always looks good in hindsight. But now I would be much less comfortable using one here after 9 p.m. because there's always news of someone getting run over by a drunk Chinese driver in a huge SUV. I think the Chinese visitor has an unwritten law that it is illegal to drive a car at night here without being completely plastered? But during the day the traffic moves slowly at most in general, and i don't worry about it.
