Marketing in Cambodia
Hello,
Can anybody tell me where I might find information on marketing in Cambodia and the challenges of promoting an organisation/service specifically within a Cambodian context? I've recently moved here from New Zealand and started a new job in marketing... and whilst I have a marketing degree and marketing experience from NZ & Australia, my knowledge of the local environment and market is somewhat limited (but expanding rapidly everyday!).
Are there any articles or resources online or am I best to try and pin down a knowledgeable/veteran expat and pick his/her brains in exchange for coffee/beer?
If anybody has any tips based on their experience doing business here in Cambodia, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can share
Amy

Thanks everybody. Maybe we'll see you at the networking function tomorrow night
On a related topic, can anybody give me an indication of a typical wage/salary for a marketing consultant (or similar profession) in Cambodia? Or maybe the average wage for an expat employed in a marketing/comms advisory position within a commercial enterprise? I imagine there is a great deal of variation.

Drinks by Design are hosting a networking event tomorrow (Thursday 14 Oct) at Gasolina between 6 & 8pm.
What other networking events are there for expats in Phnom Penh?

ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
....within a Cambodian context....
I can sort of guess what this means, and it's become a fashionable phrase recently.
But what exactly does it mean?
In Cambodia?
To Cambodians?
