Thanks for that. Interesting reading but doesn't cover if the owner of an enterprise requires a work permit, although it implies it if you sign an employment contract.

Well, if the requirement to get a 1 year business Extension of Stay to your visa requires a work permit, then I think if you are a foreigner that owns a business, a work permit is needed (or else, in theory, how could you get a visa EOS?).

Don't rely on the written laws in Cambodia...

If you receive income, whether as an employee or as a resident business owner, you need to have a WP. They're not that difficult or expensive to obtain. If you want to continue running your business without one then that's up to You, but be prepared for the consequences if the MoLVT and/or DoI turn up at your business to check.

Did you use some sort of service provider to obtain you WP or did you do it yourself?
