I would like to register several business names in order to reserve them so no one else can register similar names to mine at a later date.
My question is this:
Do I have to go through the process of filing Tax papers, Partnership agreements etc for each of the business name registrations, or do I only do it for the trading identity that I will be operating out of.
Register Multiple Business names
Register Multiple Business names
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

From my limited investigation to date,ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:I don’t think there is any name protection here.
You can register business names and they become your property,
However enforcing ownership is difficult.
It's my intention to register 3 or 4 variations of the business name that I want to use and also do the same for the web/email/dot com identity ( I'm not sure of the correct wording for this )
If you start something and it works, it gets copied rather quickly - nothing I can do about that.
It's the trading name and it's web appearance that I wish to protect.
Lots of planning still to take place.

Yeah you can get the web domain but be aware that there are hundreds of different dot Somethings available.
So while you may get .com someone else could legitimately buy .co.uk .org.kh or one of many others.
I think you are right with name protection. An NGO I work with has had one identical and multiple very similar named organisations set up which confuses donors no end. I assume businesses would be the same.

Registering a business name is part of the business registration process, therefore if you register a business name you need to complete the business registration, which includes registration with the tax dept.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Besides buying a domain before someone else does you'll need a registered trademark and history to protect/claim a domain name.
If you want to protect the .com.kh TLD, you'll need the complete business registration afaik.
If you don't care about local TLD, go and register the .com, net, org, and and other country tlds you do care about, right now. If you don't need them next year, just don't renew them. Most country TLDs allow non residents to purchase, and others require a trustee. I think 101domains is pretty good in that regard.

Small hint/idea, register these as sole proprietorship it's cheaper and you get name reserved. Later when business is growing can change to real companies.
Pardon my engrish, thanks you.
I would hurry, you don't want someone ill intentioned to grabs it
