Any recent recommendations for a decent place that does 30 day rentals?
My MO in a new place is generally to arrive in a hostal, rent a room short term, then get an apartment once I am less of a newcomer and have a better grip on things.
Internet is real important as I am an online (retired and old guy) student.
Thank you all.
Good Short Term Stay Place - Hostal?
There are lots of places that will do 30 days depending on your budget. Street 172 is fairly centrally located and has many options on the street for accommodation and food.

Hey - just a word to the wise eh? A short-term stay place here means by the hour. Maybe you can save yourself a few bucks there, don't say I never helped you out. Personally I prefer places that do longer rentals, but what the fuck would I know?

What about a guest house? They do short-term rentals and aren't those hourly places you seem to be familiar with!Lucky Lucan wrote:Hey - just a word to the wise eh? That's funny, because a whole lot of guesthouses outside tourist areas are pretty much what I described. I'm not at all familiar with them other than living in close proximity to many over the years. You see "guesthouses" in the most obscure places.Starving Pelican wrote:What about a guest house? From what I can see, some just serve as cheap accommodation, but most seem deserted in daylight hours. Many are along or close to main thoroughfares and not too far from singing places or Discos and are also incidentally useful enough for the hundreds of thousands of young people who want to just get a bit of privacy or whatever.

Optical fiber usually 23 to 24Mbps

How much for the Labeller apartments? Any other similar places with fiber?
Please don't tell my momma I work in a oil patch. She think's I'm a piano player in a ho house.
Thanks JessB. I have looked over a few different sites for property and prices seem really good. I will look into this street and if I rent there, I will ping you and offer you a beer for your help. (FEB-MAR arrival, so don't hold your breath. But, I will remember).
Lucky, I have been overseas 16 years. Over half in Latin America and much of that was in uniform. I have "heard" about short term hotels. But thanks for the humor.
