Converting soft to hard titles
Converting soft to hard titles
I've got 2 apartments in a central location and I want to convert the soft titles in my name to hard titles. I was told by the sangkat it's possible but it'd take up to 6 months and cost 2800 per apartment, reduced to 2,500 after some haggling. Anybody go that route yet?
There's a couple of threads which outline the process, will try to find links for you later.
You say apartments, unless you own the ground floor of the apartment then you cannot get a hard title anymore I believe, also you wouldn't be eligible to have the hard title in your name.
Unless the apartment building falls under strata title, then you can have the strata title issued in your name.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

I was told very recently that for apartments there is a ‘fixed fee’ of 5% of purchase price. Don’t know what it would mean for you if you have owned it for a while - purchase price or current valuation.
