The most common wall in Cambodia: red red brick with, normally with 4 air holes running end to end, are mortared together then covered with a centimetre of cement plaster. Double layer bricks, or single layer, I have occasionally had problems with different styles of wall plugs falling out because holes end up on edge of a brick void or cement/brick is crumbly. What is your favourite?
(I want to hang my kids a large, somewhat heavy whiteboard. They will use it for homework, drawing, and sometimes rough running and games. I want it solidly fixed to the wall. Thanks!)
Favourite 'wall plugs' for hanging stuff from standard Cambodian walls?

I just use normal rawl plugs and screws. I’ve never had issue with things falling out, I think it largely due to the plaster being so bloody hard, dunno how they mix it here but it seems much harder than what we use back home.
Does your house have a floor. That's a great place for putting it, and that's where every kid wants their stuff put, on the floor.Guest9999 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 7:58 amThe most common wall in Cambodia: red red brick with, normally with 4 air holes running end to end, are mortared together then covered with a centimetre of cement plaster. Thanks.
On the floor leaning against the wall works for small kids, but not all my kids are that small.

Use a timber dowel. Will last for years until the white ants eat it.
