Just curious.
Quite a long time ago a friend had a 2nd floor flat looking over the river for $250/month. It was cheap because entrance through the rich Khmer family's flat on ground floor required politeness and entry only rarely later than 11pm. 6am to 9pm front doors open and access easy.
Now, with the river front more than a little depressing, does anyone know what on Sisowath residential flats go for?
River Rd 2nd, 3rd flats ?/month?

My first apartment here wasn't very big, but it had a huge balcony. I had a good view of the Post Office Square and the river. The Cham call to prayer would drift across at about 5.00 am. It was $60 a month. Dodgy enough around there at night. Not sure how much it would cost nowadays. Probably not so much as the whole area is derelict and deserted nowadays.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
But when you moved here the world was still in black & white!
