hmm perhaps it is just my opera browser that doesnt show the images. my seamonkey on the other hand does show the images. not going to insert any more.
No need. It's a posh mans XR.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
I've had two, and my sister in law still has one (all three Loncin). All three have been utter shite, but I'm slightly biased against Chinese vehicles, so I'll just say that my experiences have been rather poor with them.
LJs reply sums up ownership well, I'll add a little more.
Front wheel lift (on my two) was really bad after 250-300kg evenly spaced out in the bed, and running over any kind of pothole would be sure to destroy any fragile cargo it might have. I've caught air in mine briefly a few times. Shifting the load forward of the axle if possible kept it reasonable to handle.
Powerband is all in the higher revs (for the 150 and 200cc versions), as in above 5,000 rpm and the gearing is way too tall (in my opinion). A nicer short ratio gearbox would have been much better for loads.
Reliability was abysmal, virtually any electrical component was useless within a year, and the gearboxes were flimsy as hell. Loncins and Lifans are made of very soft (unhardened or improperly hardened steel), and they go very quickly. The Loncin 150 my sister in law uses is on it's 3rd gearbox. It's also leaking coolant and oil everywhere. Mine personally only needed one replacement after some bent shift forks, but that's still ridiculous in my opinion.
The rest I can't remember to be honest, I switched to a diesel flatbed shortly afterwards.
Personally, they're sort of nice in terms of their size and such, but I'd much rather have shelled out the money for an old 4WD Hyundai of some sort.
All I can add.

for a long time now i have thought that an electric car from china http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?Sea ... fsb=y&sq=y would be the way to go.
anyone have any experience with them, and any experience with them in Cambodia, or getting them to Cambodia?
price looks to be right, on the alibaba link.

re Shit
depends on how you assess shit.
as a means of transport the chinese goods are replacing expensive other stuff that probably loses the value of the price of the chinese goods on purchase. think of the chinese goods more as a replaceable disposable verses a bad investment in something expensive that loses value very rapidly..

^^It is true, it's hard to beat getting a vehicle for sub $2k that you can keep going with $50 gearbox replacements and cheap low quality fuels in terms of economy.
The main thing is, are you willing to pay more for a more capable and trouble free vehicle? Or would you rather have something throw away that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but will never lose you a horrible amount of money.
I personally went diesel flatbed because I hated the constant repairs and downtime, but each truck was a hell of a lot more expensive than the little trikes and consumed twice the fuel.

re downtime
perhaps the way to go is to have more than one cheap disposable? possibly still ahead economy wise.
also the lack of accident safety factor to add into the equation but wont go into that
