Brand new cars
Day dreaming about buying a new car next year.
Anyone have had prior experience ? Bargaining possibilities ?
If listening to my mid life crisis jiminy cricket and going for a german suv, what are the chances of current price lists adjustment with the dollar recent up trend ?
Also wouldn't it be more interesting to select and buy a very recent second hand in the USA and importing it ? (I have done that before but local sourcing wasn't an option then).

Audi or BMW SUV?
You must be loaded, that's min $70k.
Must be a teacher.
Personally I'd go Toyota or Lexus but if you need to show off then I guess a German mark is the pinnicle of "Look at how successful I am!"
(Apart from Porsche)

Want to sell that naughty Su Bah Ru, Barang doa?
That would do my mid-life crisis nicely.
And get a Merc, not an Audi. Expensive Volkswagens those things.

My hard on really sets for a cayenne GTS but will most probably be way more reasonable with a mazda mx5 and keep my fantasies for german beauties a bit longer, at least until I build myself an aircon garage.
Ps @ Robw: Seeing the potential sale value might be lower here than in the US, the subby would then be overhauled, stripped of unnecessary weight, uplifted and reinforced in thailand. It still has plenty of potential even if crippled atm.

I don't give a shit about the showing off and I would go german for they are drivers cars when apart mazda and subaru the same can't be said about other japanese brands.

So Nissan are not drivers cars?
Skyline/GT-R (any version), 370Z, any 70"s Z wankel, and even the little Pulsar GTIR (220bhp, 4WD), 200SX/300SX.
Or Mitsubishi - EVO (endless versions), GTO.
OK granted not current models but no current models do it for me in any manufacturer flavour. Maybe the last GTR...
Yes. Mazda MX5 are sublime but gay.

I know someone who's got a 600bhp GTR as a family car and his wife drives a 680bhp Audi RS6 Station wagon to do the school run!
MX5. Still very gay but better than MGF or anything else out there. Shit, you can buy a tidy Mk1 in the UK for under a £1000.

I heard that there are so many cars now in Cambodia, that if you lined up them all up from end to end, they would probably be heading to the riverfront on a Sunday.

Audi RS6 station wagon... now that's exciting. Don't think they make these anymore though. It would also need to have some air suspension to be cambodia full compatible.
All these cars used to be big 8, sometimes 10 cylinders big displacement engines. I was putting some hopes on the new v6 bi turbos engines that replace them to save on cambodian taxs but it surely doesn't looks like it. At least promises still kept on gas consumption.

True but as a Scooby (The car not our moof milking owner) driver you'll be OK with small cc and big HP.
My old Nissan was 300bhp out of a 2.0 turbo and 260bhp out of my Audi S4 V6 2.7 biturbo (Modded ones can be easy 350bhp for $1500 engine outlay).
Big SUV's are not drivers cars so your original request is moot!

A programmer start up owner I knew got even more than that in his S4. We had plenty of good time with him on the wheel when running late to catch planes.
