I tried this service and here is my review.
Got a regular ride with iTsumo - the Cambodia Taxi. Outstanding service I possibly could say. Quite decent speed and that I just like the concept that I could see the driver becoming close to my pickup point to ensure I will time myself upon the driver's entrance. Another great thing was that the estimated price could be seen by me before I book my trip.
Regarding your question with the Pickup time, I found that it depends if you can find nearby cab around the region. Usually, I might get a ride within 5-15minutes. Well, I'd undoubtedly urge iTsumo cab. For finding a service like this that makes my ride quite suitable without negotiating with TukTuks thumbs up.

Another Uber like taxi booking app in Cambodia, iTsumo
iTsumo Taxi fare. I think this is cheapest in Cambodia.

So now that is Exnet, PassApp, itsumo, natra and choice.
Any I have missed?
Are all these taxi apps pretty much the same?
I use PassApp because you can also book Tuktuk's, but weirdly you can't have a PassApp and Exnet account with the same email address - even though the apps provide slightly different services.
Typical Cambodia - if you can't beat 'em, copy 'em

I see on the store Xnet and passeApp were developed by same company, I guess it runs on same Database that why you cannot have same email address.
Other apps are local. iTsumo taxi fare is very much lower than other.
iTsumo - the Cambodia Taxi is developed a group of Khmer IT engineers for helping our society also. please support.

Most of the app will die soonish. Especially the ones who use "ready" app, like Exnet does. Uber might be coming to Cambodia already this year. They have met different people in ministry of transportion, set up the trademark and setup local company already.
Yep, drivers can make a LOT of money with Uber.rogerrabbit wrote:Most of the app will die soonish. Especially the ones who use "ready" app, like Exnet does. I like the iTsumo concept and the fact that it's locally developed. Being cheaper doesn't hurt either. Good luck to them.
Uber is probably good here because of its big name but it charges a LOT from drivers as well. Some countries do not welcome UBER. Recently I visited Japan and Vietnam, I could not find taxi with Uber app. In Vietnam I saw only Vinasun taxi, not UBER!!
I believe local app will not die.
Hopefully iTsumo can survive in Cambodia. I like it

I definitely agree with you regarding the "ready" app.rogerrabbit wrote:Most of the app will die soonish. Especially the ones who use "ready" app, like Exnet does. Many parties get a LOT profit from drivers!! sooner or later, the drivers will know and stop using their service.
Uber will not come for the time being, I guess. the market is not big enough for them.
Yes, I know the dev group and I like iTsumo myself as well.chkwoot wrote:Poophnom, are you in any way associated with this app and/or it's developers? If so, how?
Especially I like the idea they donate to children hospital for every app download and for every passenger. 1000KHR per app download + 250KHR per passenger.
