Registering moto
How does one go about registering a new moto? The place I bought it from said they had an agency that could assist for $100. Should I just be lazy and go through them, or is it not that difficult to do yourself?

When i bought last year from a dealer they included registration as part of the purchase...but only for Khmer. AFAIR it costs something like 12.50 for Khmer registration but 70 for foreigners,
Prob not too difficult to do yourself, but if it only saves you 30 quid then I’d suggest it’s not worth it. You’d need to go to the ministry of public works and transport and it can be a bit confusing and chaotic there if you don’t speak Khmer.
If you want it in your own name then I’d prob just pay the 100 quid,

I thought you'd been here long enough, to know to stay away from those places, and have a local do it for you instead. And usually for a very reasonable fee.
Surprised the dealer didn't do it for you but yeah, just pay a little cash money to save the headache.
I'm in the process of changing mine into my name from the previous owner - yes, happily it can be done again - but I'm told mine is quite expensive as it has a "high plate with QR code", however that changes things.
100 dollah sounds like a good service.

Hah, indeed! I guess I was also wondering if it could be done online, as I believe you can now register your car online and buy a nice fancy license plate for yourself. "MIGS" would only cost me 204,700,000 KHR

Actually, I didn't bother to put my motobike on my name. Though, it was not a new one (more the contrary, not even Khmer people want to steal the thing).
