I am back with this car. It's back up and running again. It needed less than originally thought.

So here it is:
MB ML280CDI
Year 2006
KM: 230,000 - good for another 150,000 km
Tax and plate ok
Road tax paid.
Tech condition: good
Paint: a few scratches
Diesel engine works great - no problems - 8.5 ltr/100km
Partial leather seats.
Technical inspection done in April 2020.
I have had it for 7 years - imported myself directly from Germany. I am the second owner. Car is in Kep.

Price $13,900 or best offer.

There is still one glitch - the airbag light stays on, errors are 'resistance too high or resistance too low" in driver airbag, passenger airbag, and a side air bag. Fault codes can only be erased with the MB diagnostic tool.

WTF? You wanted 9k for it before, it didn't need as much work as you thought and now you want 13.9?
Given mercman and his mate told me don't touch it I'd take a risk at about 6k.

Yeah, but the 9k was for a car that couldn't be driven, needed to be hauled from Kep to PP, and repairs made. It's ok now except the airbag light, which is due to a fault in the airbag control module. Only MB can erase this.
But 6K is really low despite my OBO. Who is mercman that everybody always writes about? How can people judge a car without seeing it?

Mercman is a mysterious creature who knows all there is to know about Mercedes. He inspected that car many years ago.
His mate has been flogging them for 30 years, hence my comment when you first advertised it about their having 70 years' experience between them.
The air bag problem is apparently expensive to fix, which may be why you didn't do it?
I'll give you 7k if you get the airbag problems fixed and a report from Daniel at MB. The latter I will pay for.

There is only one Western guy who ever inspected this car - that was Wilson when he still worked at the old MB dealership and I had it serviced there when I still lived in PP. Later service like oil change, etc., repairs, like bushings, tie rods, etc. were done in SHV by MB trained mechanics who used to work at that MB dealership. The airbag module needs to be reset. There is no electrical fault that would cause those trouble codes. I have my own diagnostic tool. This just can't reset hard-coded faults. Only MB can. All this just for your info and anybody else who might read this thread.
Thanks but no thanks for your offer.

I don’t think you’re being honest. If it was such a simple fix you’d have got it done, like you did the other issues.

A simple search will reveal you’ve had previous issues with this car, it’s not hard to workout who you are.

280 with low spec. Don’t bother.

Yeah, could by a Toyota of the same age for that price with full option.

I'd stear clear of these old mercs with dodgy history. Even when new this model was crap.

Before you call somebody dishonest you should at least show some proof. Typical for a lot of posters on forums.
Sure, I have had issues before. Just look a little further below. You sure are real smart and you got a nice username too which says it all already. PM me if you know who I really am.
Low specs. You know you can even upgrade the base MB model to the same specs as the one with full options. German premium car policy. But you wouldn't know. I have driven MB cars for 35 years and you can bet I know a little bit about those cars.
As for the simple fix. Star want to replace the airbag control unit. If you research the internet you would find out that a simple reset of the unit will do the trick. Nowadays it's just replace, replace, replace, never really fix anything.
Since you obviously are not in the market for a car why do you post here anyway with that nice username. Probably you are just that a "d......"

You are just like the poster above. You don't know shit about those cars. I bet you have never owned or even driven one. Check Edmunds. A Lexus RX330 2004 sets you back between around $24,000 and $28,000 here. Where do you live? This is Cambodia.

Lol. Comparing a Lexus to a Mercedes in Cambodia. Where do you live!

Even if it was a steal you sound like a bit of a dick.

I guess you can't read too well. Somebody said he can get a Lexus for that price. Nobody was comparing. Get it?

Just disconnect the light and pretend it's fixed.

Right, someone trying to sell some item and then putting down everyone who dares to question the item on sale.
I have a feeling the seller might 'enjoy' his item for a little longer...

If people post qualified remarks they will get qualified answers. See RobW above. They shouldn't question the item but ask questions about the item. Assumptions and insinuations won't help. People surf the boards out of boredom and write comments that have no bearing on the subject. You will always find unrelated and irrelevant comments on especially for sale items. Sad state of affairs on forums, that. What are you? Interested in buying a car?
