Now that would be dishonest. I'd rather go for full disclosure. Besides, everything is printed circuits with diodes and such.

I like those cars.
But why didn't you sort the airbag problem when you sorted the other issues?
The person you refer to as Wilson above is indeed mercman. You got his name wrong which is good because he doesn't post here.

BTW, Rob, MB wants to replace the airbag module for about $3500, which will cost me about $500 in Europe. The problem is that it needs to be coded and again you need MB to do it. There are diagnostic tools available that can reset even an MB module for much less. So that's an avenue still open to me. This is a second car, so whether I sell it or not is not really important to me.RobW wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:35 pmMercman is a mysterious creature who knows all there is to know about Mercedes. He inspected that car many years ago.
His mate has been flogging them for 30 years, hence my comment when you first advertised it about their having 70 years' experience between them.
The air bag problem is apparently expensive to fix, which may be why you didn't do it?
I'll give you 7k if you get the airbag problems fixed and a report from Daniel at MB. The latter I will pay for.

Hasn't he gone back to England?
No, but elsewhere for a bit.
He remembers that car because you'll recall you made a complaint to MB in Germany.
Air bag control unit needs replacing I'm informed.
Unfixed it's worth 6k to me fella.

I am not sure whether I actually did but remember talking about it. He couldn't have talked negatively about it as at that time it was in top condition. He later worked for Audi for a while. Met him once at my hotel. Thought I might see him there again as I now also drive an Audi.
And if fixed?
And if fixed?

He moved on from there to work for Rolls Royce, then left them and he's now in the Middle East.rubberbaron wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 1:06 pmThought I might see him there again as I now also drive an Audi.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Lol. Why would anyone spec a new Mercedes so it’s a higher spec?!
If you bought a Classic (base) it’s impossible to spec it up to an avantegarde (for example) and anyway buying a US build ML from Germany you can’t get it specced up.
Utter rubbish.

You are a fool. Specs include features and option. Don't post again. You have nothing to contribute.mercdouche wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 9:01 amLol. Why would anyone spec a new Mercedes so it’s a higher spec?!

Keep digging. You’re an angry expat who’s trying to sell a lemon and coming across as a knob.

Why is a german car called a 'yank mobile'?
So, much hate and venom over a guy selling a car.

Mercedes made a terrible mistake and took production to Detroit where they were assembled by Jermaine and Dewayne fo' while before being reclaimed by Klaus and Jorgen. They became better again.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:18 pmWhy is a german car called a 'yank mobile'?
