Goodbye Google : What's a Good E-mail Provider ?
Goodbye Google : What's a Good E-mail Provider ?
All the fuss about Google's new "privacy " policy is getting to me ; like many, I use Google for everything and its time to stop. What's a good, secure, alternative email provider ? Hotmail seemed to have its virtual nose in my business before i even signed up. Im only a casual user, i dont care for lots of integrated features, &c. I do a little banking in the US and i wanna be secure.
Thanks.
Thanks.

register a domain + buy cheap hosting = custom email that's as private as your host's privacy policy.
Amen. I'm a fan of it, actually.giblet wrote:I think you probably don't understand the new policy, then.PP Porgy wrote:All the fuss about Google's new "privacy " policy is getting to me
Makes you wonder if there's an opening for a paid e-mail service where you get what you want instead of these 'free' services where you get alot of other crap.
Mac mail is great, I pay an annual amount but it's worth it.
Does Mac Mail require a recent mac to use it ? I have a windows laptop, a android tablet, a crippled old mac, and a first gen iPhone: i dont think i qualify . But i would consider paying for a secure email service.

I thing I paid $20 for life.
your email is [email protected]
A good free one is mail.com where you use [email protected]
(And yes, Yahoo sucks bigtime).

I set up a free account with fast mail: they have lots of domain names available as well. It is a co headquartered in Melbourne, so you know they are reliable. The co is owned by Opera, whose web browser i happened to install on my Android tablet yesterday for a definite improvement.
