You can get 2GB of extra capacity on Google Drive for free today. All you need to to is head to Google and run through a very brief security update you’ll be given 2GB of extra storage on Drive. I'm not sure if this counts towards Photos and Gmail messages capacity. Thanks to Lifehacker.com!

Will do this but, while looking into it I discovered that the 100GB that came with my Zenfone 2 has a time limit (2 years) so at some point I won't be able to keep all my photos backed up there. I've also been moving away from cracked software and found that you can do basic editing of MS Office documents for free online and, if you pay for a year upfront, you can get MS Office for $80 which gets you Office 2016 and 1TB data in OneDrive which works out cheaper than Google (1TB costs $120 per year).

You'll be dreaming to get office 2016 for that price. Office 20xx licenses are lifetime and are priced around $200+. Office 365 offers the subscription model. They can often be gotten on sale for $25/year or thereabouts. The subscriptions are stackable as well for 5 years so if you find a good deal, bulk buy.1984 wrote:Will do this but, while looking into it I discovered that the 100GB that came with my Zenfone 2 has a time limit (2 years) so at some point I won't be able to keep all my photos backed up there. Thanks for this tip OP.
Google drive offer the option of unlimited photo storage if you choose high quality auto photo backup (as opposed to original quality) in the Android photos app (16mp setting - photos only)

Upload your CV on CamHR for a chance to win 8 GB USB drive! True story, I got some spam in my inbox. That's 4 times what Google Drive gets you. Suckers.

Not sure what you're seeing on that page but in my region that page has prices for office 2016 starting at $229.99. It links further for office 365.1984 wrote:Ms Office personal (1 installation) $69.99 a year https://products.office.com/en-us/buy/office "Now includes the new Office 2016 apps for your PC and Mac."
Typically Australia has the most expensive online shopping....
Why bother with MS Office when there a free alternatives like LibreOffice and OpenOffice? Works good for me anyway.
Sorry all for being off topic here.
G&T further down on my screen I see what you're talking about:
I can also see the bellow image (which is under Office 365 but does also get you the 2016 apps and I think would be enough for most people :
Sweric, I think the others are fine for personal use but if you want to ensure full compatibility with the rest of the world in a work environment then I think you still need MS Office and if you're paying for online data storage (you get 1TB with the MS Office accounts) then it's actually a good deal.

Yes, thanks. Sometimes though the Upload Size setting to store one's files at high quality resets and switches to Original size! There's no feature to search your photos by file size either, yet. I'm not sure if downloaded pics and screenshots that are configured to back up to Photos counts towards your 15 GBs either.Rama wrote:Thanks for this tip OP.
