Can Anyone Recommend a Good Computer Service?
My laptop did something strange and Anana Compter can not copy my files. When I log into safe mode, I can see everything I need, and I've been told copying files with a broken hard drive is not that difficult. I guess it happens a lot. I don't know, I wouldn't have any idea how to do it myself. Could anyone recommend a good shop that works on PC's? Thanks

Here's a simple way to get this done:
1. Download Ubuntu livecd: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop
2. Burn the ISO to a USB or CD/DVD
3. Boot the computer with the livecd
4. Plug in your external drive you want to copy the files to
5. Mount your Windows NTFS partitions in the livecd environment and copy them to the external drive
6. Turn off the computer and remove livecd (do NOT! install Ubuntu onto your drive)
Let me know if you need further help or if any of the steps are unclear.

Thanks Alexandara. Yeah, it's over my head. Could you recommend someone or company to do this? Anana Computers couldn't figure it out and working with them is a nightmare.Alexandra wrote:Here's a simple way to get this done:

No charge. Could probably get it done for you in a sleazy bar after work hours, I assume you are in the capital?
I'll prepare a thumbdrive, PM me a phone number and I'll be in touch.

I'm also looking for a fast and good computer service.
I cannot switch on the Wifi at my laptop anymore. After several trial with new drivers, deinstallations of the adapter and a frantic reset of the complete system I have now a cleared laptop but still no internet connection.
Would be great if someone have a recommendation or knows somebody that knows somebody ...
